The stadium was built for football and baseball with movable stands. They didn’t work very well and when the Hawaii Islanders stopped playing they stop using it for baseball. It looks like it is safe but some engineering studies had some high repair estimates. It was closed in 2020 and is being developed into a smaller stadium, sports complex and entertainment area.

Just a friendly tip on your next visit to Oahu, swap meet Saturday has more vendors and most times you can find local vendors that make their own pieces! Also checking out the Local Pop Up Events are good to, their you will find local vendors who hand make their own products like my husband who is a wood carver! Most of us would give you better deals then these tourist attractions!

Aloha! Enjoying the videos of my home. The turtle symboliz protection from evil. Also, the Stadium is where the allstar games for the NFL football played at. And the University of Hawaii football team played at. Yes the island is expensive. Hope you enjoyed your time. Hi Gladys!❤

Crazy coconut prices. Amazing the difference between the markets from there and Thailand or sri lanka. People over there are so nice and friendly, always smiling , not to mention the prices are amazing but back home people are all business, short answers and insane prices

Hawaii is expensive, I remember visiting Maui back in 2016 with the family and everything is so expensive. But glad we went it’s beautiful. A tip we did was buying Hawaiian 🌺 shirts and dresses from thrift stores before we went on vacation. It save us a lot of money. Thank you Chris!!!

Hawaii was expensive when I lived there in the 80's as well. A four-person household had to have everyone working with two jobs in order to make ends meet.

In public areas Coconut trees are trimmed to prevent them from falling on heads. The immature fruit and flowers are cut off. In people’s backyard watch you head. Coco palms usually rise from a curved base. Some varieties fruit when short and don’t grow too tall too fast.

When I lived in Honolulu in the late 80's, the Aloha Stadium flea market was much larger. Instead of just one row of sellers, there would be row after row after row of sellers covering the entire parking lot. We spent about 4 hours there and still didn't see everything.

The price to live in Hawaii is priceless I’m a native n I feel ur thoughts cz us locals struggle a lot...most folks have their own coconut tree cz it’s ridiculous to buy one.. ur at the best place to shop for sovereign...but shop around cz u can find different bargains...Waikiki is for the tourist stay with local shopping in Ala Moana market place near the beach or Pearl-ridge in Pearl City... I watch ur channel n like what you offer have a safe n memorable vacation Aloha 🌺

@Travelwithchris yah we make way more but we pay way more taxes upon taxes and cost of living only going up. You need to make close to 100k a year to be happy and not have to worry about money and with a family x2 eggs cost around $6 a dozen gas prices are out of control. Don't be afraid to sit In traffic for an hour to get into town. Not an easy place to live and by the way those people are getting their money to survive id be unhappy too

Just had a look at the cost of living in Hawaii so they say you need to earn in the region of 120,000 dollars a year just to live I steady life there .. then i looked into it a little more it’s $7 for a loaf of bread 😂 It’s $12 for 330ml imported beer. $6 for 12 eggs and $4.5 dollars for a lettuce it’s crazy. The palm trees you see are most likely coconuts but there isn't any coconut on them if the tree is on state property due to liability, years ago a coconut fell and killed a kid and since then they always trim the coconuts off the trees before they get big so that it doesn't happen again or they could get sued

The coconut are from Hawaii but they are that price because most people from the state will buy it for 10-12 bux especially if they don’t have coconuts in their state if u comparing your prices to Thailand u cant because Hawaii in a state and facing inflation like the rest of America so it’s kinda hard to compare to Thailand or other countries
