Really cool to hear about vararam ., back In 2003 i was trapping 115-117 with my z06 I then installed vararam which said to add no rwhp yet would trap higher and bone stock otherwise started to trap 119-121 and on cold days low da 124mph 👍🏼

andrew paul They are. But it took HP Tuners about a year to get into the ZR1 code. So now there is the added costs of trading your ECU for an unlocked ECU, $500 value.

It’s funny, they put American Racing 2” on all their builds, but the 2 highest hp have been Kooks 1-7/8”. It’s not a huge difference, I would be very happy with either one

I assume it's to firm up the shifts and instruct the pcm to shift faster. So there's less of a delay between shifts. That thing has a 8 speed auto. Just like tuning a throttle body to open up sooner on a drive by wire setup.

It’s for the automatics. It’s super important. Most you see on dyno are manuals so is not applicable

Even my 08 a6 changed substantially. From the factory you couldn't tell the difference between switching to performance mode with the shifter. I just changed the shift pressures. You feel and hear the difference now. Engine timing at shifts was left alone to help the trany live a long life. But full timing shifts like the old days is still on my bucket list just to see.

Have any of you guys at rpm tested the veraram claim of 3 and half tenths pickup in quarter mile? That sounds like bullshit . Put our intake on and go from 12.00 to 11.65 . That would have to be the all time best bang for your buck 1/4 mile improvement. Sounds like they tested a stock one then tested one with the intake and forgot to mention they also put drag radials on it.

E85 on an NA car will never pick up that much. Maybe 10-15whp on an ls7 it’s why we typically don’t do it.
