He's talking about none uber being not optimal. Currently the hardest content is only t100, you can clear that easily with shit gear on an under leveled character. No need to have perfect gear.

Tip for console: If you press charge again while charging, you can stop the animation early so you can hit the boss better

There’s one little skillpoint I’d remove. You don’t want enhanced rallying cry to give you 6 seconds of unstoppable, it messes with the resource regeneration on thibaults will. Or swap out rallying cry totally, you only need 2 shouts to recover a missed charge.

Been playing charge on console and pc for a while - you can actually control your charge distance with your left stick. If you don’t move left stick it will just charge to your current target. Different intensity of the input decides the charge length. And if you draw backwards on the stick right after charge you can charge right to where you were. But it’s a lot more difficult than using mouse and using mouse can let you charge a lot farther.

on consol / controller you can focus the boss this works for me most of the time with charge, just press R3 ... you can google instructions there are also some videos how to focus enemies with controller

Hi Rob. I love the idea of WW/Charge, playing a version now. I'm still confused how Rend is being used. You have it selected in your skill tree, but not on your bar. In the video you mention it being used as an attack... but again, not on your bar. Can you explain this better? You also mentioned your key setup is linked below. Which one?

Funny, I was just investigating this Ravenous ring bug when I saw the video ^^. A few clarifications: 1) Ancestral Charge is not a 1.6x multiplier but your ghosts do 0.6x of your damage. 2) if you charge at 7 Earthstriker stacks you loose the overpower because of the invisible, no damage, rend cast (this happens multiple times in the video at the NM dungeon part). 3) I don't think Banished Lords stacks do anything, they are just consumed by rend with no effect (actually Rob says this later as well).

I am not sure what you are saying here. As I see it WW is only good here because of Weapon Swaps and Ravenous. If Ravenous is bugged the Hota Version seems to be the better choice then?

@@berunto8186 HotA is technically the more powerful skill but no enemy will withstand a maxed out charge either. If you work around the bugs you should be faster with charge in everything but boss fights which can become a bit clumsy if you miss the target or can't reset the cooldown properly 😅

HotA + Charge will probably work better in terms of consistent damage output, but personally I like the WW version because you can apply veteran brawler stacks faster and manage your fury better. Also HotA and Charge should optimally use bludgeon weapons, giving you one less swap stack when going from HotA to Charge 🤔

i started this build, so far so good, but im currently lvl 90, with quite bad gear, and im not able to do any significant damage on the butcher, that kinda sucks...bossing in general is a pain in the ass right now, hopefully will change soon!

The +18% crit change glyphe is not stacked to your existing base crit change. You could try the 10% change to get 1 sec cooldown with the bleed from charge to get even more cooldown on everything.

Is charge fixed? There is/was a bug that you have to aim in front of the boss to do damage otherwise there is no damage at all from charge.

It's still in game on bosses as of 2-11. Everything else you charge though and it applies the dmg.

I'm pretty sure the problem is not with console but with controller. Like usually targetting tends to work better than with mouse and keyboard. But with hota and charge there is lots of missed hits for some reason. Bad targeting could be a reason but it happens regardless of the number of enemies.

Well, usually the GEAR is roughly the same, mostly chaning aspects. Just collect aspects like a madman (i personally have 2 stashes with ONLY barb aspects) - uniques are all the same, so it's pretty easy to swap around

If you are on console ps5 for instance hit r3 I believe and it will target the base the whole fight and even if you are facing away from boss you will automatically turn and charge into boss no matter what range away you are or where you are facing your charge will land. Only use it on bosses it's annoying af if you forget to turn it off for trash mobs

I just practiced spacing a bunch on the target dummies then seem to have gotten a decent knack for it down. I also am using fists of fate to be able to stack up the stagger bar on bugger bosses who like to gap close a lot so I can line it up easier. Is also nice to be able to CC stuff whirl winding.

Ive combined both charge and hota into one build using the best parts of both with near unlimited charge with massive numbers hitting with hota.Yes of course im not going to hit with the same numbers like in a single build of each but its enough to one shot most bosses if i proc certain skills at the same time.

I have followed this in my build as close as possible but I still drop like a brick in lvl 98+ nightmare. My resistances are all topped out as well as my armor, but I get one shot like I was a wizard. What else is supposed to give me survivability? Also my glyphs are all maxed and all my rare glyphs are fully active.

I'm using a hybrid HoTA/Charge/WW build and it does work but the WW is very low on dmg. Basically you can't kill a monster quick with WW and for a Core skill it's very disappointing. Also getting dmg during WW is not what I aspected. It's not that strong as the WW in D2 is. I wish you could just kill your way forward with WW.

really love your guides. i have a question. is your hota/ww barb build good for speedfarming ? or is only good for bosses? atm iam playing charge barb that raxx recommanded and i kill mobs fast but singeltarget it SUCKS. i really wanna get a good build that i can farm bosses fast with but that i also can do dungeons with etc. what would you recommand?i really love charge/hota but the dmg from my hota is bad. any help would mean a lot. hope you have time to answer. keep up the great work

It is a good Allrounder so yes can play it for all content. If you wanna melt bosses I recommend the hota ww build

Once you gear up properly, you can still melt bosses with the build that raxx is using. I would just focus more on HOTA damage than maximizing charge output. Even with the overpower nerfs, you can still one-shot most bosses with pure hota. I played HOTA in season 2 as one of my builds and the only real difference I'm going for this season is I will use charge instead of lunging strike. Currently as I am still leveling I am using two shouts, so I can have charge and lunging strike on my bar. Once I get some resource gen and tibaults I will drop lunging strike for charge. When push comes to shove, both builds will absolutely destroy all bosses. Since I play on console and hitting bosses with charge is so much harder, I will focus more on maximizing HOTA damage. Charge will still clear rooms!

If I were to use the Charge/Hota version, what weapon should I be selecting to use for the Charge in order to get the weapon switches? In the version using WW, you have charge on bludgeoning and WW on one-handers. If I'm using both Charge and Hota, you wouldn't be able to use both as bludgeoning to get weapon switches?

The charge, if you switch out the last skill on the charge tree for the other one. He explains what the one you're using now does which gives you instant cooldown to your charge.

you need to set 2h mace as charge weapon, and dual for ww, 1st charge need to hit 3 mob so the unique ring auto switch wp to 2h slashing wp -> this will trigger the passive that generate fury. repeate it 2-3 time to get enough fury for 1 ww cast. If you do not have tibault like me, you have to do this, and the aspect ring should have "resource generation" . after you have enough fury for 1st cast of ww, just do charge then ww and repeat. However, without tibault and uber and glyph only lv15, i have to run away from butcher and son of malphas, this build suffered when encounter fast hit&run boss. Good luck, i really enjoy this build test it at lvl90 and get to 100 and lvl15 all needed glyph so fast

Basically what he said in the video, u need to charge infront off the boss, I would suggest to practice on the target dummy and measure how far away u should start to charge.

You need the unique legs for fury. Everytime you get unstoppable you get 50 fury

I don't understand, when I apply your build WW no uber., there is no fury at all, and nothing to have it. so i switch between WW and Lugging strike which is annoying. So i removed wrath of the berserker to have them both. When I use whirlwind of course that consume all fury I have and no recharge of it. What I missed, or is your build get an error somewhere? I have only the ring of ravenous. no thibault will, no banished lord.

Make sure you assign whirlwind to dual wield in skills menu. You gain fury by swapping weapons so if they arent swapping youll just drain it all immediately

How do you assign weapon on skills?

I found it : on PC press "S", put your mouse on a skill, and clic the wheel to change the weapon.
