at 19:00 that glass guon could have been ammo, its a random drop, sadly we can specifically place ammo yet, also this is the longest room now, and its slightly rarer then the rest because of this, i just wanted a cool easter egg room for the past, also i may get rid of the critters if it is causing lag

I'm thinking about going through this in these ways: 1. Keep it the way it is and add a cap of 50% so it's still takes up time to get but feels rewarding. Or 2. Change it so that the damage up goes by increments of 10 - 20% for each room cleared but removes the same amount for every single roll in an uncleared room. With a cap of course, maybe +80% since this seems harder to maintain. P.S: Love the item, the flavor text and all! Great job.

Maybe make a second version of it, called the "Gilded/Master Ring of Discipline" that doesn't have a cap, but is significantly more expensive and rare. That way you can still have some fun being OP if you are lucky and skilled enough to find the better one

Already seeing lesser amount of super large rooms which is good. To further improve the experience, I ask of you - modders to: Try removing third phases in the a few of the medium or large rooms (not the super large ones). They still increase the clear time but don't add much else to the room. Try using 8bit pixel art or closer to it instead of the large, highly detailed ones we have now. This would do many things: * It would allow for adding multiple art pieces in a room. Why have a single thing when you can have a themed room? * It would allow for smaller pixel rooms * Improve room traversal * Change the way a room can be used. You can have maybe different art pieces around which specific enemies spawn. Right now it's one large room with lots of enemies sprinkled in; at least it feels like it. Though all in all, great job modders! ♥️

thanks for the feedback! first of with the new update all my pixel art rooms have a max of 2 wave and even then 90% only have one, and most rooms now drop extra rewards, as for the size, this was an oversight by me, the way i created these was by porting the images for the achievments and turning them into rooms, meaning they were a fixed size, id love to make them smaller but it would take sooooooooo long, i do like having the bigger rooms, i think the only downside to them is that they do make room travesal a bit dull but gameplay wise they add something new to the game if done correctly, which is what im trying to do at the moment, reto is basically being a beta tester for these rooms and i am tweaking them and updated them every day to make them as enjoyable as possible. in fact based on this videos response i increase the rarity even more and gave many of the rooms more breathing room so that corridors and hallways dont feel so tight!

He uses Commando to clear rooms... But then how he get the room back in shape? Explosions do bad things to things like structural integrity. It doesn't matter that the room is clear, if the room has holes in it.

@@TheTurtleMelon not to be rude or anything, but I think that if your design mentality is I'm going to annoy the player but it's not a problem because they're rare, I think that you are doing the game or the player a disservice. It should never be the point to annoy the player but to challenge them. There is a huge difference between the two, and even if you think that the room is not an issue for you, or that you personally are okay with being annoyed by a game. I honestly don't think that you should force what you don't mind and maybe you should give people the choice to not get them in someone else's game or to to give people a choice to for example only get the modded items, or if people want just the custom rooms. And I don't mean this to just your mods but I think that you should be able to have some way to separate them from each other. If I wanted to play the game with modded items I shouldn't be forced to also put up with a room per floor that will drain the fun out of the game for me.

@@eiriyuki19 agreed, i think i misspoke when i said annoy, i more meant that its suppose to be a room that if it shows up it adds extra difficulty to the run. most rooms have been heavly reworked and toned down, i think the past room is the only one left with that many enemies to honest. most rooms now have mutiple reward to hopefully off set the length/size. i wanted to include big rooms as there arnt many in the game, i know there is reason for that but i still wanted to try it, i think with tweaking from feedback they can fit into the game nicely. As for them being part of Expand the Gungeon with all of the other content, thats down to ApacheThunder as he is the creator of the mod, if he thinks they should be spilt into two different mods then that what we will do. Im hoping the rarity and balancing should make them less frustrating to see and just be a pleasant little extra challenge that yield some extra rewards. if people still think tweaks are need ill keep changing things til its right! thanks for your feedback

@@TheTurtleMelon I'm glad you didn't think I was being rude but took it as the constructive criticism that I meant it to be! I think that you are on the right track and I don't want to discourage you in the slightest of trying to increase the difficulty of any particular run by introducing a new and challenging room to the game, and I think that you are definitely capable of doing just that. Having worked on a game myself and seeing how much time and effort that goes into level design and development I have nothing but respect for the people who go above and beyond to expand and hopefully improve the fun of the player. However if I may give you some advice on how to perhaps get some of the quirks ironed out, I would suggest that you make a list of different scenarios that the player could see themselves in on any given run ( and I'm aware that you are not made of time so you have to compromise on some points) and playtest the room to see if you are capable of beating the room yourself, and if possible have other people who haven't already seen the layout and placements in the room and ask them about what their experiences were. I know that this may sound like an unreasonable amount of time and effort to spend on something that you are doing for free and I hope fun. But if there is anything I have learned from inside the industry is that level design is one of the, if not the most important part of any game. And I think that you have a great eye and not resistant to criticism which is rather important to the progression of your rooms. You should definitely continue with creating new rooms because you obviously have the skills to do so. And if you're ever looking for some additional advice or constructive criticism I'm sure we could find a way to get that sorted. As for the splitting of the mod, I was speaking more in the general sense of how I personally would like to have it working, but I understand that it's not always possible to make it work like that so I don't expect it to happen, but it would be a welcome addition. But once more I think that you are going about it the right way and I'm glad you are taking it in stride because most people don't take critique very well so I can't commend you enough for that.

not a fan of the rooms that have a gimmick (like being pixel art) at the cost of being tedious to complete. See 18:03 , not even retro is amused by this. If the mod creators are looking, just take some of these off of the rotation, or edit them to be more gameplay friendly. For example: the base game room that look like bullet kin or the happy cthulu room. Simple shapes guys.

im the creator of these rooms, the room you linked to specifically has had a few enemies removed and a few walls take away for easier movement, ive been watching closely how reto reacts to these rooms as they were kind of an experiment, ive been tweak and altering the rooms based on his feedback and hopefully i can get them into a good place, if not tho i will remove them from the pack
