Me too. As a nurse it was horrifying. You know all the right things to do, how to do them and what to look for, so you scream at the phone, the responder , everyone in the world, the adrenaline sets in like you are doing CPR on someone ..... Yet you can't do a da*ned thing ! You want to reach or jump though the ccreen ......but have to listen to a voice getting calmer and weaker and know exactly what it means. I think i was never (in 13 years) so upset working on a patient, because at least then I could do *something* ...even if it means just keeping someome company.

Stalking is scary af. I watched Sweet Anita's video on it recently and it really brought me to terms with how dangerous something as simple as showing your face or livestreaming can lead to stalking, harassment, and even death. Of course putting yourself in the spotlight puts you more at risk, but she makes a good point that law enforcement should handle these things better. Its really awesome that your case seemed pretty innocent with the fan girl and in the more serious instance with the threat towards your daughter it was handled properly. Do you think knowing what you know now there are things you would've done differently in your past? Like maybe not reveal your name, or face?

I would have done a few things different but my name is part of the 911 call so it was really hard to not put that out there, especially with all the news stories about me already published, and my face was hard to hide since a lot of my earlier videos were me demonstrating how to do stuff as an amputee.

Johnny, first of all, my family and I are new to your experience and your channel. You are an incredible young man for what you have been through and how you have handled everything from the 911 call, to the amputation, to the recovery and more. Secondly, the love and respect you have shown for your mother all throughout speaks volumes about both of you. I think you are so right about crazy people and you have to be super careful because you are crossing over into the territory of “celebrity” and have fans. Fans is short for Fanatics! As for creepy stories…yes, I have one! I was working in a government office and started receiving notes on my desk from an admirer. I was married with a child…all my coworkers knew that. Where were these notes coming from!? They were getting weirder and more frequent. My superiors started questioning people…all leads were dead. How was someone accessing my desk…it had to be someone inside, but who? The process was started to set up hidden cameras. Then a woman came to the office and asked to see me. When I went out to see her she went crazy accusing me of having an affair with her husband. Long story short, she had photos of me in my house, had my pay stubs, photos of my kids…..it turned out that I was working night meetings in the office building and the cleaner would see me after the meetings let out and he dug through my desk and got my pay stub which contained my home address and it turns out he was stalking me and I had no clue. Here I was being nice to this guy and felt safer in his presence!! Very scary! Please be careful.

I think your assessment of how he got that info is proprobably spot on. That actually sounds very plausible. I'm not a stalker, so I can't say for sure lol but it sounds like something that could happen.

When I was working at a dry cleaners, along time ago. I thought I had a stalker. I was still new there, and this guy came threw the drive thru, and knew my name. I was so scared and freaked out, and no one told me that my name was on the receipt/ticket thing each customer got after dropping off clothes. It was actually quite funny lol

People are really messed up. Korea has a huge issue with "keyboard warriors" that leave horribly messed up comments to the point that some famous people end up taking their lives so their laws and such try to clamp down on it from what I've heard. What I think went through his head was that since most Koreans aren't fluent in English that he thought he had some immunity from being caught and such so he didn't hold back from leaving a nasty comment. It makes me so much more glad that he was tracked down and caught for his actions.

I'm so relieved to hear that guy was found and arrested for making that threat. I can't understand why people think because they're on the internet that means they aren't talking to a real person. I highly doubt he'd have the balls to want to say something like that to anyone's face. Like that guy should know he's going to hell for threatening or even thinking about victimizing an amputee who's only been a positive role model to others, not to mention an infant's well-being. Honestly I would do anything to see the look of regret on that person's face while being interrogated by officers. What sucks is they are probably just a kid that loves trolling people to be edgy and I mean trolling an amputee is as edgy as it gets I guess 😬 P.S. I enjoyed the vids so far and was really moved by some of them, especially the conversations with the dispatcher and police officer (I know it was years ago) and I'm glad y'all keep in touch. You have a great attitude/demeanor and I'd wish you more success with the channel but that might bring about more stalkers! Jk lol keep up the great content dude!

Haha oh good, I’m trying to. And I didn’t give him flowers right away, however not that long after my accident, he and his wife celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary and had a party which I attended. I brought him flowers and a gift.

So Very Very Sad Love, But Sadly A Sign Of The Times..I have only had a touch phone,believe it or not for about 6 months, so consequently am still learning, but also very very wary. I mainly use it to Google stuff or watch / subscribe to about 6 u-tube. Will not go on Facebook or anything else because I choose to keep most of my private life private. But anyway nice of you to warn people out there,especially after your experience. There are so many nutters out there for sure, and so many pitfalls,especially for youngsters who think they know it all ( sorry I wasn't meanin' you there lol). Just make sure he is careful with his info and he will be fine. I learned that the hard way lol.

And look through the settings and set some on Private or type in no info . And NEVER EVER make videos where specific landscapes/- marks or street / house numbers ( even in a 10 mile area) while telling he lives directly next to it , or where it can be seen in the background. Or car signs ! Or a postal code on a big ad, poster, sign on a store that you stand in front of , whatever.... Always look though it during editing. Maybe there is even a Tool in editing programms ? I have no clue about that. And use some sort of VPN . That's all i can think of.

I couldn't figure out any US accent if it hit me in the head. I mean some specific southern accents are an exception but i still struggles to recognise Australians. Or Canadians . Or Irish - when they try to "hide" it to make them more understandable. It's English but with more or less some accent. So these people doxing one by accent etc must be a) very familiar with the US accents and b) someone in your neighbourhood , their distant friends etc. Without being a hacker. But this sounds really creepy /obsessive. I know most Americans have security systems. Make an upgrade.....please. And don't show ANY street signs until you're secure in another city for just a few days. Edit : I wanted to make a light joke at the beginning - but at the end ....not anymore.
