Taste Test: Canadian KD vs Kraft Mac and Cheese

Today we put two dinner staples head to head, as we pit American Kraft Macaroni and Cheese against Canadian Kraft Dinner. Join me and my girlfriend Quinn, aka djqueentee, to see which one wins.
Also please ignore the random color splotches on the walls lol. We are in the process of repainting and we marked all of our walls with what colors would be going where 😉

Hey man, saw your incedent last night with the baler, Fun thing. I also work at a recycle center and i also work with a old EXCEL baler. Pressing cartboard, I had a incedent myself with this baler but thankfully i survived. Something got stuck in the teeth of the press. So i pressed the emergency stop and jumped into the press to clear it out. But what i didnt realize was that the emergency button only got pressed halfway in so the machine was still running. I get down into the press and the emergency stop button slit out of its place, the press started to move again. I was stuck inside the chamber... When i yelled out for help my co worker came and shut the thing off and opend the door. Baler's are extremly dangerous if you dont treat it with resepct. The warning symbols are there for a reason. Carry on with what you are doing man! You are doing an amazing job!

You should! It’s all pretty much the same but just tastes slightly different. We got Denny’s when I was in Canada, and not only is the food cheaper, but it tasted fresher. And Denny’s never tastes fresh here in the States lol

Yeah it did have a little bit of a zing to it, but when I said bland I meant in comparison to the American specifically in the fact that the American was super buttery (did you see how much butter went into that 😳) and the American cheese mix was more cheesy.

Just discovered you today via another channel and your 911 tape. I immediately knew I'd subscribe, and you're both adorable. However, I'm here as a Canadian to talk about KD! Actually my real point is that I'm (comparatively) old, so I remember the Coke vs Pepsi "taste test" wars, and what they found was that side-by-side, people preferred a sip of Pepsi, because it was sweeter in comparison, but over the long haul more people opted for Coke, because you can only handle so much sweetness. In other words, taste - like everything - is relative. I wonder if you'd like to revisit your experiment in light of this information?

Since making this video, I have eaten way too many boxes of both American and Canadian mac and cheese, and I’ve come to realize that I don’t really notice a difference in them if I’m not specifically looking for the difference. Half the time I forget which one I’m actually eating unless I look at the box lol

Most Canadians like there KD al dente. So rinsing is crucial. Otherwise we end up with mush lol I don't know about you but I like my noodles to be slightly chewy

Lmfao I think the reason I really did like the Canadian version better is because I’ve had the American version regularly since I was a kid and the Canadian one with something new, but by the fourth or fifth box of KD I was definitely over it and decided I did in fact like the American one better lol

Well it sounds like you are Canadian so as a foreigner I’m not trying to argue with you, but at the same time, my girlfriend was born in British Columbia, spent her childhood in Alberta, spent from 18 to 23 back in British Columbia, and now has been back in a different part of Alberta for the last two years, and she and all of her friends not only are very fluent in French but had all of their schooling in French, from elementary all the way up until high school. Like all of her classes were in French. And then when I have been up there to visit her in Alberta, almost every sign in the entire airport at YEG is in French and English, a lot of the signage in the local stores have English and French both on the same sign, and one of the restaurants we went to, albeit a fancy restaurant, had the menu entirely in French with tiny little writing underneath everything for the English translation. Also she is a DJ and I was super surprised at the fact that a lot of people I met at the club while watching her DJ were interchanging between English and French while holding conversation with me. I had to keep reminding them that I‘m a Floridian and don’t speak French lol

French is one of the 2 official languages for the entire country and there are literally laws passed in Canada to protect the French language as a culturally significant part of Canadian heritage. According to the Official Languages Act, both English and French are a fundamental characteristic of the Canadian identity. So I'd be surprised if it was only spoken, nonetheless understood, in one out of 13 provinces. But more importantly, if Quinn (a Canadian) thought that his statement was in any way false, do you think she would have told Crew9t to edit it out?

@@EliGregoria New Brunswick is the only bilingual province. I would have to check but I think Italian is the second most common first language in Toronto.
