Avionrc iKon was like 40g lighter with the same battery, that's wild, in my test was more efficient, still flew perfect and very floaty, but the props were different and it didn't have the same top speed/ rocket like feeling I have to do a comparison running the same propellers because those 40g less must be a big advantage

Love your videos, great review. Gotta let you know though; I've unfortunately experienced what happens when a dog snatches a drone out of the air. Generally he cuts up his mouth from the props. It's your dog, so wont' tell you what you should do. In my case however I still feel guilty that this happened. The dog was fine in the long run, was a strangers dog that got out of the yard and went after my drone without me knowing. That said you provoked the dog to go after the drone in this video by flying right up to his face. I think it's a bit much if I'm being honest. Sorry if I sound like a Karen.

Thanks for the comment, I am lucky I never had accidents happening, but I shouldn't relax too much and provoke bad stuff to happen! I am used to smaller whoops and I feel like those are safe, this drone was probably not!

They are both great drones and fly perfect, the iKon is 30/40g lighter tho and in a sub250 it matters a lot, so I would go with that, you can put a naked GoPro for the same weight

I saw someone rip it and only get 2 minutes and 30 seconds of flight time, but they used LiPo battery’s. You seemed to gain 2 minutes almost with LiHv. But on the website it says to use LiPo. Should I just buy the LiHv ones then? My favorite review of this drone btw

Use the suggested sub250 720 mAh and you'll be fine, lipo and lihv are kind of the same thing, just lihv can be charged a little higher in voltage and lasts longer for the weight, but they are more delicate and will wear out faster

Well two very different drones, depends if you want sub250 or not, but I would say this makes more sense than the manta, because once over sub250 I would get a 5 inch really

This looks very appealing, look very small and portable. I am taking interest in getting a drone and have been wanting one for a while now. Would this drone be a good drone for a first time drone pilot? I know nothing about drones but want one. It would be for taking it on road trips with my family. For spotting areas we need to camp. Or for example spotting wild horses, camp sites , scouting areas etc. I'm not looking to spend a lot of money cause I am a first time user. I would also like to have the headset, being in the sun all the time where I live the screen on the controller is not ideal. Is there any drones out there that comes with headset and drone all in one package, any suggestions is greatly appreciated. Amazing video btw, thank you!

You should probably calibrate your sticks in goggles menu to remove stick error warning.. you were flying with them slightly off the whole time. If you would’ve slowed down and center sticks your quad would’ve most likely begin drifting in a certain direction

The drone looks and flies great, but doesn't it shake a bit? Here's a tip, when you're in the OSD menu, there's a shortcut to save, left joystick to the right and you'll have a save immediately😅

Gyroflow shakes a bit cause the O3 camera was too tight screwed, releasing the tension makes the gyro noise go away! Daaamn thank you for the tip!

I guess you could convert the o3 to a naked one and it would make it lighter. A naked caddx would be even lighter but won’t look as nice

Nice look amaze balls!!!!! I'd like to see it with a naked air unit, maybe remove some of the 3-D prints to try and take the weight down. I bet it has hang time because of the weight but I would imagine removing eight or 9 g wouldn't affect that too greatly. It'll be slightly more floaty.

I'm looking for a first small fpv, but I would feel more confident with a duct, and being a first, i would not mind if it comes with some "power" penalty. But I want to be sure that the duct doesn't show up in the footage if I spend the money on an O3. Any recommendation ???

Seems like there's are so few manufacturers making new drones anymore! Used to be Diatone, Leader, HGLRC, LDARC, Happymodel, etc. coming out with new drones all the time. GepRC and iFlight still make them too, I think. Just not innovating anymore. Plus, what happened to all those great Diatone drones? They made such good ones that were so reasonably priced. They should still have those available so noobies can buy them. But, it seems 6 months to a year after release, they are gone for good! Sad. They made great models that are still great today, just no longer available! We don't care if it was made a year ago, we'd still buy it! Wassup wit dat?!! 😢🤷👎
