Adam Chance the other guy in the back is their baritone/ bass he was doing the jaw harp sound Tim Foust is their bass he has a 5 octave range Rob Lundquist beard and glasses is their lead tenor Austin Brown first sing was their high tenor he left in June and Adam Bastien has taken his place. If you like deep bass Home Free was commissioned by Ubisoft after hearing Home Free’s Sea Shanty Medley to write a sea shanty for their game Skull and Bones Adam Chance is really big into sea shanty’s so he wrote Skull And Bones it’s amazing 😊

Actually, in their live concerts, they show you how they do this song. They use a looper and are completely up front with how they do it. The high tenor, Austin(he is no longer in the group) can also do the "nomonica" . He and Adam Rupp would both be "playing" at the same time. They are amazing. The Home Free rabbit hole is deep and varied! They are truly amazing! Loved your reaction. Had me laughing at the pure honesty of the facial responses! Keep going!!

Home Free is so good. They’re super talented men. Just so you know, they don’t do all country. They sing all genres. You might try End of the Road, Listen to the Music, Blue Ain’t Your Color, Helplessly Hoping, I Can’t Outrun You, Yours to hear more great harmonies and great music. You forget they don’t have instruments. Adam Rupp is the talented beatboxer who can do it all. Oh yeah, they do pirate music too. They did the Sea Shanty Medley and it caught the attention of the game maker Ubisoft who asked them to write a new shanty for their new pirate game Skull and Bones. Check out that song! It’s great! Also check out Adam Rupp Drum Solo (2015). It’s older but it’s just him and a mike doing “drums”.

Fans of Home Free are known as Home Fries! Home Fries call it the "nomonica". Adam is a beast beatboxer and Tim when he hits those low notes we call it "releasing the dragon". IMO they are the best a cappella group there is. Since today is the anniversary of 9/11 you should do "God Bless The USA" with Lee Greenwood featuring Home Free. 🤠

For more of Adam Rupp's "nomonica" check out their cover of Garth Brook's "Ain't Going Down Till The Sun Comes Up". There are a couple of other songs where he features his "nomonica", but that is probably the best. Another great cover is Dooby Brother's "Listen To The Music." The beat boxing on that one is a whole other tier. It is a deep rabbit hole and a large variety of genres to choose from besides Country. Check them all out, including Opera.

Please react to VoicePlay! They were on same season of "Sing Off" with Home Free and became friends. They have even helped with arranging songs for Home Free "Elvira" and "Butts Remix". VoicePlay is based in Orlando, Florida and have done a lot of Disney covers. Geoff is bass, but has an incredible range. Layne Stein is beatboxing and some singing. Eli (pronounced El-lee NOT Ee-ligh) and Cesar De la Rosa. They don't currently have 5 permanent members but rotate guest singers who are all phenomenal. They cover classic rock, movies, video game songs and Disney.

The song was originally published in 1913 and covered by Bob Dylan and Joan Baez among others. The re are loads of live videos of them performing this, usually combined now with Folsom Prison Blues. Yup, that is the Adam Rupp "nomonica" which you can hear in a lot of songs. These guys are all super talented, as you can tell. The bass singer is friends with the other bass singers in VoicePlay and Pentatonix (Avi) and helped them with getting lower bass. This is in the "old timey" bluegrass music. The sound you hear at the beginning is a mouth harp...metal instrument you put between your lips and strike the metal and makes that sound.

Great reaction. Home Free is a great group, but as an acapella singer myself I can't hold one group other another so they aren't a favorite....I have no favorite and I love all. :D All of the acapella groups work so hard from working on the music to recording. I know Voiceplay has been mentioned so I will give some recommendations for some of their songs. There are currently 4 in the group, but JNone will occasionally come back when he is on leave from the Navy and do some videos with the guys. If you like Metallica (I'm close to 50, so I am a fan) they did do a fantastic job on their cover of Nothing Else Matters. They also have covered songs from games like Skyrim- Dragonborn, the Halo theme, Warframe- Sleeping in the Cold Below, PUBG- Shero Returns are just a few. Some others are Oogie Boogie's Song from The Nightmare Before Christmas, quite a few ACA Top 10's, some Michael Jackson songs, Hoist the Colours and Drunken Sailor, theater & disney tunes. Those are a fraction of that is there....I'd be here all day if I were to keep writing.

Great reaction. The writer of this song has been lost to time. It was first heard back in the 1930s. The movie Brother, Where Art Thou? brought it out in the open again. I saw an old black and white movie once(made in the early 40s) where this song was sung by a black man sitting in a jail cell.
