You can tell that Michelle Yeoh and Henry Golding are SEA people, specifically Malaysians because they're aware of these terms. Just commenting this in light of the whole simu Liu comment and some woke non-asians tried to speak about the Asian-Ness of Henry Golding just because he's half white despite him being able to speak Malay and actually from Malaysia.

It’s kinda funny because singaporean language originates from malaysia just as the land. But at the same time, Singapore has also become it’s own country. Awkward
@hannishamsul49832 жыл бұрын
I agree so awkward but cant say much bcus it could be sensitive

It's awkward right..but what's more awkward is, SG is much better than Malaysia now. I'm Malaysian btw.

@@deadlybear92 not awkward, if Malaysia is KL-only, we could do wonders. Of course the bigger the country, the more likely things will screw up, and in Malaysia - it’s the politicians

Lah is actually written in the dictionary Kamus Dewan Bahasa Dan Pustaka Usually used at the end of the word to strengthen a sentence. But for local people both Malaysian n Singaporean we used lah for literally everything.. With that sometimes it kinda lost its meaning along the way. And has becoming more of a rojak words.
