I thought it was a little slower than Episode 1, but there were a lot of big reveals that seem to be setting up some big stuff to happen in later episodes. I actually like the pacing on the 2nd episode more than the first. The episode was definitely a mentally driven theme but the exposition was very significant to the entire MCU.

Nick told Carol Danvers that he can’t eat sandwiches if they’re cut on the diagonal. In Age of Ultron he makes a sandwich, cuts it on the diagonal, and proceeds to eat it. He was already a Skrull. The real Fury died when Hydra killed him in Winter Soldier.

If Nick Fury turned out to be a scroll, and really died in the Winter Soldier, that could explain why he was eating toast that was cut diagonally in Avengers 2 Age of Ultron! In the 90's during Captain Marvel that Nick Fury told Carol he couldn't eat toast that's cut diagonally!! Or at that time Fury was just Talos!!

Fury being revealed as a Skrull since at least "The Winter Soldier" could work with the right emotional pay off. Gravik is clearly mad at "Fury" for breaking his promise, but why is it so personal for him? Well if you are correct in that Fury and his wife adopted Gravik, and that the real Fury died then Gravik's whole motivation this series is to fulfill that broken promise that his adopted father never got to. He is mad at this imposter Fury who probably doesn't even know he is a Skrull for not only representing a father who couldn't give him what was promised, but for also wearing the face of his adopted father when he knows he is dead. So the reveal that Fury has been really dead for a long time and is a Skrull isn't just for shock value it is for the benefit of our main antagonist Gravik. Notice how Fury hasn't really reacted to Hill's death?

Gravic being adopted is interesting. I would love if the fave he consistently uses is Furies brothers face. I too believe Fury actually died in The Winter Soldier. Reason being is a callback to Agents of Shield. Coulson who died in the first avengers is brought back to life utilizing kree blood and a 3d printer to reconstruct him. At the end of No Way Home we see Fury sitting in front of a display of a beach in the end credits. This scene of the beach appears to be the same display that Coulson sat in front of. This display was to help previously dead individuals cope with life. Also these individuals had their memories tampered with. Which is shown to be possible in Captain Marvel concerning Carol's memories.

I like the surrogate dad idea.. I also like the idea that the current Fury is a Skrull. He as a Skrull all along is a great theory as well.. Going at it from a simpler point of view.. Nick doesn’t know that his real wife (if he had one) is already dead, and has been replaced but he’s yet to find out. I say this because had he married a Skrull tgere would be no reason for her to not remain “in her own skin” when he arrived home. The only reason for her to shift it to continue the ruse to keep fury in line with gravik’s plan to do hike harm. He’s lost Hill, by Gravik’s hand.. It would shake Fury’s core if Gravik had killed his wife and replaced her years ago.. Cheers!

I think what makes the skrulls so (potentially) scary and dangerous is the fact that they DON'T need an army. Just having a few in key roles across the globe is all they would need to, at a minimum, cause chaos - or as Gravic put it, they're just "hastening the inevitable"

I like the idea of Nick Fury being a Skrull post-Winter Soldier; you could easily retcon the reason Fury showed up in Avengers: Age of Ultron to rally Tony and get The Avengers back on track is because if Ultron succeeds, the Skrulls would be without a home yet again.

I feel like this HAS to be the REAL Nick Fury in this show. If it turns out he’s a Skrull, it would cheapen the very real moments that have already happened in the series (death of Maria Hill, convo w/Talos on Train, Convo with Rhodey), I really hope they don’t go that route.

I totally agree, I'm more than ready for some more serious MCU content. And I liked Episode 1 &. how it started off quickly with some big reveals. Episode 2 was a little slower & more of a set up episode, so it was a little less entertaining, but I feel like its setting things up nicely to gradually build up to some action filled episodes later.

Nick Furies mantle being taken by Talos from Winter Soldier on seems to be what happened. I think Fury was brought back to life aboard SABER. I think the real Nick Fury only plaved boots on Earth for Tonies funeral and that Talos has been trying to fill his shoes while also lying to Fury about the snap. Possibly Talos gave Fury his memories of the Infinity War to fill the time gap as well. Making Fury believe he never died in the winter soldier. I think once Marvel reveals Furies memories are comprimised there may be an attwmpt to convince Fury he is a Skrull like they did to Tony in the comics. Which means this wont be a closely gaurded secret and the enemy will discover this about Fury if they arwnt already aware. If Gravic had a close relationship with Fury its possible he already has this knowledge.

Fury being a Skrull would be nuts. I think this is the real human Nick Fury on Earth now. If he was a Skrull, I imagine he'd be quite important in Skrull hierarchy. That would mean in Captain Marvel he would probably have known Talos and what his mission was in CM. To many ifs for my liking. Also, I don't think he knows his wife is a Skrull, she was in full Skrull form as he walked in the door but appeared human once he had her in his sight. I think his wife is setting him up. I believe she's in cahoots with Gravik. All I know is this a really good show and I wish it was like 10 episodes rather than 6. Seems like there's a lot to figure out in 4 more shows.

What if Nick Fury isn't a single person, he is like James Bond, a series of super spies linked by their shared alias and mission. Take that one step further into the Body Snatcher/Men In Black/Jason Bourne crossover territory and Fury could be a Skrull or a clone or someone who doesn't remember life before becoming Fury or has no identity outside of Fury and holds all of Fury's collective memories of several lifetimes. This could be a way to tie into the older Nick Fury comics where he fights in WWII alongside the Howling Commandos and Captain America. It would match up well with the historic super soldier they started in Falcon-Winter Soldier, the idea of identity inheritance from Hawkeye and Falcon-Winter Soldier, and the idea that this Fury can be different from another Fury like how Vision was reborn in WandaVision.

This Fury has to be a Skrull and yeah maybe the Skrull thinks he is actually Nick Fury or just a good friend of the real Nick Fury and is working to help the real Fury, because he looks quite different than the Nick Fury in the Marvels trailer. Also at Iron Man's funeral in Endgame, Captain Marvel would've been able to tell I'm assuming that Nick Fury was a Skrull. If the Nick Fury in Secret Invasion is a Skrull then Talos is obviously unaware of it, does that then mean Skrulls are unable to tell if each other are Skrulls. Nick Fury's Skrull wife could be the actual wife to the Skrull that is potentially impersonating Nick Fury but then the Nick Fury Skrull would be unaware that he is a Skrull which leaves me to think that's what was planned in the first place to not risk breaking character if you like. Maybe the Marvels movie timeline is taking place round the same time as secret Invasion one because of the mission with the Marvels and to discover things like Talos telling the questionable Nick Fury there are millions of Skrulls on the planet and the real Nick Fury wanted to find out how infiltrated they already are and how high up and their intentions which is obviously the Super Skrull initiative. Maybe thats where the 2 shows kind of meet together.

Also 3 points! Samuel L Jackson is not getting any younger and will Nick Fury pass the mantle on because how long does Samuel L Jackson intend to play Nick Fury! Secondly, maybe in the Marvels they are trying to or have been trying to find a new home for the Skrulls. Lastly does anyone think Sharon Carter is a Skrull or not but has some knowledge of a Skrull Invasion?

Black Widow led into Hawkeye. Ms. Marvel is leading into The Marvels. All but 2 or 3 shows have movie tie ins. I mean hell, what if Armor Wars is ab the Skrulls
