According to what Jeff Fowler he said no Rouge in the 3rd Movie until Shadow The Hedgehog Spin-off along with Omega. So that means Rouge isn’t going to be in the 3rd movie & if Rouge isn’t going to be in the 3rd movie what Jeff Fowler agreed with Paramount,that means no Rouge in the 3rd Movie. So it’s only going to be Shadow & Possibly Amy Rose in the 3rd movie simple as that.

Its sometimes really embarrassing to here Iizuka talk about Shadow. His constant deny of Vegeta despite his name being on Shadow's concept art Him characterizing Vegeta and Shadow to make them appear more different (usually in the worst possible way by implying Vegeta is more virtues and nice than Shadow) And I in general dies like how Iizuka has greatly gone back on his own writing for Shadow in the Rivals games and Shadow 05. In Shadow 05 did he close to story by shadow saying good bye to his past self wanting to start anew yet now its all about Maria again And in both Rivals games did he clearly show great care and trust for Rouge yet he can't have any friends in his life except Maria now. And his whole talk about "evil shadow" is also just ridicules as he says "Not done since SA2" when Sonic Battle and the dark paths of Shadow 05 are right there. Hell Shadow working for the entirety of the game with Eggman and Meta Sonic in Rivals 2 might actually count and Iizuka wrote that himself.

After watching SF Productions' video about the recent controversy of the Chaos Island Act 1 Remix video, he thought of a reason why the soundtrack team decided to remix the Chaos Island themes for Shadow Generations. They wanted to pay homage to Sonic Frontiers, specifically the Cyber Space, as those stages have music tracks that feature EDM, Dubstep, Drum Synth and more. Like say this: What if they take this song from that game that was originally meant for exploration, remix it with those elements, and turn it into something that fits this stage as a boost level for this game.

Space Colony Ark is a good kind of EDM, same with Kingdom Valley. This is not. The problem isnt with it being an EDM remix, it's that this remix sounds like some generic dubstep music, it also keeps drowning itself out with random ass sounds. Forces had EDM stuff too, yet it sounded good (Westopolis remix, Guardian Rock, for example)

I think the decision to put Amy in all recent games is telling of their decision to have her in the movie. They seem to be tying it all together so they can build off of each other as you’ve pointed out with the movie being so successful. We got Amy in origins, superstars, and frontiers dlc. It’ll be sad if rouge is forgotten, and I don’t think she’s 100% deconfirmed but I wouldn’t be surprised if she isn’t there

The only reason I can think of why they made Chaos Island act 1 super EDM/Dubstep is because of most songs in frontiers are EDM, mainly cyberspace. they probably want to reference the whole idea of cyberspace in someway by using EDM in the song. Edit: I wish this song was just 2nd Mvt but 2x speed with drums, bass, guitar and 2% or 5% of EDM in it and it will probably be much better than what we got.

That's wild, because even Vegeta isn't exactly buddy buddy with Goku or anything. Depending on what phase of Vegeta's growth as a character he's in throughout the series, he goes from being an active threat (Saiyan Saga), to some one who begrudgingly works with Goku and his Friends (Namek Saga), to doing his own thing by trying to proving his superiority to those around him (Android Saga), To a relapse of his old ways and mellows out a bit (Buu Saga) to re-newing his rivalry in full with Goku (Super). So saying Vegeta fights for 'Justice' is odd, you can argue even Goku doesn't do that as a primary goal. Vegeta at this point would fight to defend Earth, but mostly because he has a vested interest with his family and because he wants to test his limits as a Saiyan. But you can make superficial comments like they're both the dark grumpy counterparts to their more up beat and free-spirited rivals. And both takes pride in their respective identies where Shadow's is "The Ultimate Lifeform" and Vegeta's is "The Prince of All Saiyans"

I know Shadow kinda had an "EDM" vibe in SA2 especially, but Sonic fans really need understand the idea of execution. Throwing in the most random and loud dubstep over a beat doesn't make it fitting to that style by default. Shadow's SA2 music had a distinct dark feel to it to match his character there. This is just dubstep sounding EDM noises for the sake of it in that first half. 2nd half is ok. On the Amy & Rouge Movie 3 front, I've pretty much hung it up on one of them making it. But I don't 100% rule them out. I at least think one of them SHOULD be in it. Not only because of their importance in SA2, but how a whole trilogy with not one of the gals is lame af to me lel.

I really don't think Amy is supposed to be in that pink circle. I think its entirely possible Amy is still in the film, but if she is she's been rewritten and adapted to work in this film. So she'd have to have an entirely different role to start off with and won't be part of "Team Sonic" right away. Furthermore, if she's part of Team Sonic in this shot, then why is she missing from the shot where Shadow creates the black hole thing? (EDIT: Okay, so they're speculating she was scrubbed from that shot, too. Personally I don't buy it, I don't think she was intended to be in that shot.) Amy can still be present, but she's not a central figure and is more of a supporting character, and the reason they haven't shown her off yet is because they are saving her for later. However, the idea they've "edited her out" of certain scenes doesn't make much sense. Rouge is even less likely than Amy, but Rouge has a better excuse to show up. We are almost assuredly getting a Chaos Emerald hunt at some point, and Rouge just needs an excuse to go search for the Chaos Emeralds.

The 3rd movie is clearly not following SA2, there's no reason for Amy or Rouge to be in what we've seen to be the plot. It's actually pretty upsetting, I really did want a story closer to the game but it is what it is. Rouge will probably just be a GUN agent full on and we won't see her until Shadow starts working with GUN, as for Amy, I dunno man, she'll get here when she gets here.

My current stance is that Amy will be introduced in Sonic 4 with it being the CD\Heroes adaptation. Since with Jim Carrey likely not returning for the 4º one the most likely character to take the role of the series main Villain is Neo Metal Sonic. Her presence on Earth could easily be due to her using her tarot cards to find Sonic. Either because she is looking for her love, or because Metal is attacking her homeworld. Rouge, and Omega for that matter, will likely be introduced in the Shadow spinoff they talked about wanting to do.

As for Ohtani, his first few titles were stellar: '06, Unleashed and Colors were solid. Lost World is a unique case so I'll let it slide. But since Forces it just seems like Ohtani wants to do what he wants and it's dragging down the sound direction as a whole. While the addition of EDM technically isn't a bad thing, the way it's presented and done feels like they're just letting the team do whatever, instead of forcing them to think about how their compositions fit into the game. The island themes, cyberspace and fishing lack anything Sonic. The only time I feel they get it somewhat right are the mission themes, and they're not even remotely close to anything prior.

@@kenrichgumanid9235 Sonic Adventure 2 fit the characters. multiple characters went to the space colony ark yet all their stages songs have completely different genres. it was character based, not location based. if its a sonic game where you only play as sonic then yes genre diversity is still needed to compensate for the fact its only one character.

i know a few "fans" think the remix of chaos island is not good due to how heavy it goes into dubstep and edm for some of it and the fact they just don't like edm at all just as a music genre which is why they don't prefer the modern games OSTs as much, which is fine if you don't like it, but these "fans" repeating the same thing over and over again by saying its "mid" or terrible because "its not like the original" and "edm=bad" isn't going to change anything and is more of a unjust bias without giving the music a proper chance, they're stuck to edm for a while and are continuing to do that for all the stages in this game like in Frontiers because the majority of people like it including myself. Again I think a lot of fans take stuff WAY too seriously most of the time because they want Sonic to be very specific things that go along with their likings that are based off nostalgia from their first few sonic games that they played, just because its not the same style of music from your childhood games doesn't mean its automatically crap, that kind of thinking is just stupid and arrogant. Just thought I spread my thoughts on this topic that's all. (btw this take isn't meant to take offense with anyone so don't comment below that i'm a dumbass or something idiotic just cause I think certain "fans" take stuff too seriously and are toxic af). edit: i don't think this is great music or anything like that, not as good as the original version nor the other tracks that are edm based, i just think people are being a bit too harsh on it.

There just isn't much variety nowadays because Sega has this weird mindset for the 3d games to have either exclusively edm or heavy rock. And for classic sonic to be using a Genesis synthesizer. I think the backlash has some merit when it becomes a staple and doesn't rly give a specific game an identity. I don't really get the mentality jun senoue's tracks in superstars were pretty divisive. I did like the vocal tracks in frontiers tho. But some of the ost can be hit or miss. Not the biggest thing but If it's a pattern then it's more than just nostalgia. Tee lopes does a fine job evolving the music for the franchise for example.

@@stephaniejohnson5361 can understand that fully, this does go a bit too hard in a similar manner to 4-1, 4-C & 4-I from Frontiers that did sound kind of whack, some parts a bit too insane but the music overall isn't bad just sometimes can be a bit much.

Think the track picks up significantly in the 2nd half but I'm still very disappointed with it, and I'm someone who actually liked a majority of the Cyberspace music, plus the Kingdom Valley and Space Colony Ark tracks revealed earlier on. Chaos Island genuinely had some phenomenal movement themes in Frontiers that could've been translated into a stage theme flawlessly and while I do like the usage of Movement 2 in the second half of the track. It doesn’t change that the first half is like the most ear wrenching dubstep imaginable like Cyberspace 4-1.

I feel like Sonic giving Er Eggman his quil is going to lead to Metal Sonic. Amy is forever linked to Metal Sonic because of Sonic CD. I see 2 possibilities with option 1 being Metal Sonic replacing the Biolizard so Amy is in the movie witch would set up Silver to be in the post credit scene or option 2 is If Amy has no role in the 3rd movie then she is in the post credit scene.

I honestly thought HD Gens’ time water was a perfectly serviceable final boss, but if they do wanna improve the finale of the game, they could do a true final boss that unlocks after you beat both Sonic Gens and Shadow Gens (that’s ofc better and more epic than og time eater).

IDM maybe. That's why it's so experimental. I believe this music on Sonic will be valorated eventually, in the future, when more songs like this become relevant. Same happened to those trashy (in style) IDM songs back in the 2000s which are now looked with good eyes in the public eye.

Some EDM is fine. Regardless, it simply does not compare to what came before. It was tolerable in Forces but Frontiers cyberspace levels and a bunch of other spin-offs managed to run it into the ground. Ohtani needs to pick a new style because we're sick of this one.

🤔...... I already like where the movie is going, so if they include Amy and Rouge, it will feel even more like it's based on SA2. The movie already has that vibe, but adding them would definitely enhance it. I see this cinematic universe as its own thing, separate from the games but still inspired by them. The chaos island remix is a remix of all 7 movements, not just 1 prem. Chaos island's first movement is very similar to the start of this remix, just a lot slower and lower pitch. The music fits shadow's character perfectly. It's chaotic and fast paced, just like shadow.

They can’t replicate the GOAT style of SA2 Shadow levels. It was the match made in heaven of Fumie Kumatani and Everett Bradley, who made genius stuff. It was percussive. Inventive. Drum and bass. Not generic dubstep. Tomoya Ohtani has done some good tunes himself, but this EDM dubstep stuff is not that. Not remotely. It’s painful.

5:04 Facts, it was terrible being a fan in the 2010s. Dumb "game review" channels couldn't start a single video without saying something like "Sonic has had his ups and downs". The self deprecating "humour" on Sonic Twitter didn't help either At least when 06 was around the internet wasn't loaded with people as it was in the 2010s so kids didn't have to look at waves of content creators using Sonic as a punching bag to get views instead of trying a Sonic game out for themselves and seeing if they like it. Mania and the movies rejuvinated the franchise big time
