@@jordyjakequeen8404 I live in Southwest Louisiana and we can have some torrential rainstorms. I don't like to hear there are hail and tornado watches, plus we get hurricanes and tropical storms. I don't like to be out in those heavy rains, though. To stay dry in a heavy rainstorm, one would have to be covered in plastic from head to toe. It started to pour down when I was leaving work, once, so I went back inside and fashioned a full-body rain suit by putting two eye-holes in a huge plastic bag, put it on and got home without getting soaked. I wondered what people would think, if they had seen me wearing that huge, black plastic bag. LOL! 😂

I agree with Luke. AquaQuest makes excellent tarps. I’ve used my 10x10 Safari for shade or cover in a thunderstorm. Camping at campgrounds is a good way to start. I like checking out other peoples gear and test out my own. And I’m close to my vehicle should I need it. My Big Agnes Copper Spur 2 person tent has great ventilation and has remained waterproof in several storms. Good luck in your adventures.

I have used the Gazelle T3X extensively ( about 45 nights). No bugs and very snug shelter in weather. The orange color of this Poler tent would be horrendous in more northern areas where it never gets dark in the summer. It would be like trying to sleep in a light bulb. No thanks.
