Big bate catches big fish ! One of the best lures I had in my tackle box as a kid was an old wooden 4" long mouse. Heavy enough to cast way out and the bass and pickerel loved it .

Awesome strike! My big lure adventure began after I found a bit rusty jerkbait at the bottom of the lake. Since then I managed to catch a good number of pikes and my PB, I lost it 2 times and retrieved it once... which means the rescue mission is due hehe:D Sick video dude!

In Denmark we are having crazy temperatures in our fresh water lakes and rivers. Fish are dying left, right and center. Having similar issues in England?
@Fozz-e6 жыл бұрын
Klaus Hansen i spotted a few small fish in dead spots in canal. Not lots though.
@MrSarisir6 жыл бұрын
DB Fishing cheers for the reply. Hope your waters will cool down before it goes wrong. We are mainly seeing trout dieing, however, perch, pike and silvers are also starting to go belly up. Atm theres no relief in sight, but crossing fingers
@benjaminvanteunenbroek83696 жыл бұрын
Klaus Hansen in the Netherlands it's the same unfortunately only the big rivers have plenty oxygen but last night I've seen plenty of dying eel and bream there too.. would love to do some brown trout fishing in Denmark,seen an article of some real monsters beeing caught from very small creeks.. Let's hope the weather gets back to normal quikly
@MrSarisir6 жыл бұрын
Benjamin Van Teunenbroek thanks for the info from the netherlands 😊 Weather is turning here in Denmark. Many fish are still slow, but its getting better. With regards to brown trout. Ive never caught one meself, but I hear they are good fun 😊 I’m mostly a pike and perch guy

Great catch pal! Im a match angler but just started on my canal in Birmingham for pike, perch and zander. Not had a sniff yet and been 3 times. Tried top water poppers and some 7 jointed pike a roach imitation lures. Any advice to help me get into some fish? Will try some small soft worms next and jigg them across bottom. Loads if snags though. Love the videos as always geeza! Fozzy
@benjaminvanteunenbroek83696 жыл бұрын
Try a jointed rapala 13cm always works in the small canals don't get to carried away with buying lures.. if the fish are on they'll eat most quality lures no need for fancy swimbaits also try a big shad on a large 8/0 hook 10gr. jighead..

@warrengeorgeanthonychen94816 жыл бұрын
You know the rat bait can work you'd just have cut it in half and put it on the line,, it is meat and blood and the fish would go for it, although worms and small fish are the more easier and traditional bait.

I honestly don’t get sport fishing..don’t get me wrong I love eating fish but can someone explain to me why we leave holes in fishes faces then throw them back lol? Isn’t there a better way?
@system95336 жыл бұрын
i dont get commercial fishing and killing them by the thousands but hey. we have to pay to fish like this here per year, and the funds we pay go towards either protecting and conserving the river/lake, restocking of fish (if fishery), etc. sport angling is minimal in comparison. most of us really love the fish (and nature), which is what matters. these fish (pike) pre date most dinosaurs and will still be here when we've killed each other off. regarding "leaving holes", you should see what other pike do to each other, nature is a cruel beast. cheers :)
@eliteg1256 жыл бұрын
Most sport fish mouth is made from the same material as our fingernails and hair so the holes close up
@Tryo7076 жыл бұрын
@@eliteg125 You refer to Keratin, but fish do not have any in their bodies at all. However, the mouth will heal from small hook wounds very quickly in most species. A large hook wound in a medium sized shark may take a week or two to heal, at most. Sea water does wonders. Source: Marine Biology Degree UH Manoa.
