Yeah, it's the biz, eh? That's what I thought too. Mighty. Rock on, mate!

Way more than I expected. Throughout every gain amount the guitar still was very clear and focused... Yet the distortion was just right.

Did you connect the black magic in the loop of your ax effekt or howe did you connect it ?
@BrettKingman2 жыл бұрын
Good question and the answer is, kind of both. See if you can follow this: I plug the guitar into the front input of the Axe-FX III. The Axe is very versatile with its routing so in this instance I placed an instrument-level FX loop (output and input 3) between the front input (1) and the amp block. This way the Black Magic sees the guitar's output before the amp block and I can switch that fx loop in and out remotely if need be. This system doesn't always work to expectations though. For example, an old school fuzz or treble booster will not sound right in the axe's buffered fx loop. You have to put those pedals between the guitar and the axe fx's front input for it to sound right. And it does. But just about anything else can be placed in its own loop, before or after the amp and cab blocks. I'm old enough to know how things should sound with 'real' amps and although I've fully embraced current technology, I'm still pretty fussy. But the Axe lets me do just about anything I want or can dream up. Which is why I love it. All the best to you and thanks for the question - and thanks for watching!

I'm not a high gain guy generally speaking, but this has a great tone to its distortion. I dig it.

Brett, how would you compare this to the Revv G4 pedal?
@BrettKingman2 жыл бұрын
I think my videos would be a better testament, Paul. I don't have the G4 here to compare, I'm sorry. In fact the last time I tried it was when I filmed the video.

Too much gain for me, but it does it very well.

Lol "so that's low gain, if we go to high gain" Low gain on that thing is really darned gainy. I think I'll have to add this pedal to the cart.

Very. I usually up the volume to around 90dB+ in here - it gives me a sense of the real thing at battle volume.
