Caught this crazy bond violation hearing the other day and found some prequels as well as a brief follow up to bring YOU the entire story…. More fascinating insight into the challenges our courts face on a daily basis and how they deal with them…
This remix is intended to provide better insight into how our courts and the folks who run them administer justice to the public they serve. Remember they have to deal with folks who are often having their worst day on a daily basis. We also hope to bring you cases with interesting legal concepts, twists and interactions you may not encounter elsewhere…
This commentary remix work constitutes a fair use of any copyrighted materials under section 107 of the US copyright law. Video was edited only to add relevant commentary and to reduce time in the hopes it will be more convenient to be viewed by more folks thereby raising public interest. All defendants are innocent until they aren’t…officially.

I could be wrong on this, ive been doing numbers while listening to this case but it seems to me that an argument happened, no physical violence, the police got involved, arrested someone (because in some states its required that someone goes to jail if a domestic call is made), this weird court group gets involved and the state listens to them more than the "victim" and everyone decides to have these court cases around this man and woman, who don't want these cases to happen. I mean.... am i accurate? Because it does not seem fair, it seems like massive overreach and an attempt to control people's personal lives. The whole thing seems like a massive clusterfuck where no one cares about the two people its about. Meanwhile they continue these unnecessary trails through some silly technicality.

The supposed victim is clearly saying she wanted none of this. There are ppl who actually need and want help yet they're wasting time on this bc they don't like the guy. Many restrictions on rights are based on that clear fact. "Why can't I shoot my guns in my own backyard?" "Well, sir, you put six rounds through your neighbor's house." "I should be able to hit triple digits on my speedometer anywhere I want." "Well, ma'am, this fact may surprise you, but other people exist and want to be able to survive the trip to grandma's house." Last year in this country, there were over 1500 DV murders that started out at some point just exactly like this. And so annoying listening to him gripe about his "lost rights". Nobody took them from you, Sparky, you gave them away when you violated the rules that YOU AGREED TO. Can't do the time, don't do the crime..

Thank you for your comment. It reflects the sad and absolute reality of DV & not just in Michigan. Currently this is reflective of the sad state of affairs all of the USA & Canada in our courts. This content while perhaps interesting and entertaining at times also shows the sad part of a somewhat broken system for dealing with DV. Judges are often left walking a VERY THIN tight rope in these situations. Clear laws governing how DV is handled from the police up to the Courts, State & Federal, Province and Country. Laws that are passed by Judicial Judges who are highly educated and have a comprehensive understanding of DV. Also in each district there should be 1 to 4 Judges especially trained who have NO biases to handle DV cases…All DV cases should be referred to them and the resources & support systems for assistance for the victims and perpetrators e at these Judges disposal. Again deep gratitude to The Uluxian & to Squishy Gardner for their respective posts. 🙏💙🙏💗🙏

Unfortunately he has rights bc he has to be convicted. He was innocent during the hearings. Even after convictions people still have rights. I’m not sure how we would remedy deciding who has rights and who doesn’t. They can’t restrict all his calls only calls to the victim. So he was right to put up a fight over that.

On the one hand; Yes (He's weird) On the other hand; I haven't heard a shred of evidence he actually assaulted anyone...? The whole point of domestic violence is based on a physical act of violence. Sounds more like a lovers quarrel to me...I know ONE THINGS for sure; I don't want ANY PART of a relationship with a female anymore!!! Especially when I can be hauled off to a CAGE at the very moment we disagree about something...Even more so when the probable cause used consists of "he touched me"; Without any physical injuries being presented...F THAT CHIT!!! Space ghost!

that outburst was the Real him. this man has been trying hard to show he isn't a angry violent or abusive person. however at the end he absolutely couldn't hold back, because a woman was telling him how it is going to be, and showing power over him. his ego just couldn't Handel it, so he explodes. think about that for a minute, she is a judge, and he explodes at her while in custody... this is a dangerous man.

I don’t agree. I cannot say how things are, as I’m not there and wasn’t there at the initial argument. It is very possible he was just as irate at that initial argument that started this restraining order, sure. The fact that the victim advocates are going against the victim’s wishes and the judge is not considering her wishes at this late point either, is very concerning to me, though. The reason for the orders is to protect the victim. If the victim states to the judge that the restraining orders are no longer needed, the judge should revoke them. Instead, she seems more concerned for her ego and power because she is considering his violations to those orders, more. This leaves no room for removing the government and his restrictions on his freedom if they are not needed. She can easily make orders that test pulling the restraining orders back, but she only cares to extend this case against all parties involved.

@@doribellan I’m sorry, but you are very uneducated about DV if that’s your position and it’s honestly sad to me how many people in this world *still* can’t look at things as a whole. If I wasn’t currently in the middle of cooking dinner, I’d take the time to break it all down for you, but I can’t right now. All I’ll say is that there are very specific and important reasons as to why the judge is not giving the victim the “right” to dismantle the order.

@@ariannaeleanor314 I think we can spare your arrogant break-down. That cynical position of knowing more will get you in trouble. Humility is a virtue. Also, I’m not about to explain my history of domestic violence and restraining orders to you. The very behavior you’re exhibiting is the similar manipulation and gaslighting an aggressor takes. Enjoy dinner and stay in your lane.

@@doribellan Whoa. You completely misinterpreted my tone, as I was not trying to attack you or come across as aggressive. I certainly wouldn’t give you some arrogant lecture. I meant if I had the time I would break down what I mean in a much more thorough way that gives a better idea of what I’m saying. I apologize if I came across in a negative way towards you, truly. I feel bad it came off like that, but I can see how it could. I really wasn’t suggesting that you haven’t been involved in any kind of DV personally, I was referring to the educational side of the subject as a whole. I would never try to make that kind of assumption on a complete stranger and I would never, ever ask someone to explain or tell me if they’ve been a victim of some kind, that is none of my business what so ever. I 100% respect your privacy. I’m coming from a place of experience, both personal and educational/professional and have many many years of direct contact with victims and also prisoners, so without trying to sound arrogant in any way, I do sincerely have expertise in the matter that most people don’t, that’s all. I hope I’ve cleared up where I was coming from. I should maybe work on my wording or approach. I forget that people can very easily misunderstand through text.
