_replying to a 6 year old comment_ If we’re gonna be fair, the staff ghost does the same thing on each difficulty so whatever strategies that work on normal will work on harder difficulties Even still this run is incredibly impressive

Awesome run! I remember struggling to beat this. Are there any changes in Chapter 9 difficulties? or does the ghost time just improve? (So, can this technically be the WR on all difficulties?)

Symphony Veira certain points like beginning of the tracks boost 3 times then best before turning the curve turns and the Hill boost there, then at the healing energy strip boost there.

It's a technique called shift boosting. Basically, you leave the track for a split second and return a few frames later (I don't know the exact timing, but it's really tight!). Doing so gives you a huge boost of speed, but it's risky because you're basically guaranteed to die if you goof up.

Not the way CGN's doing it here. They'll get shift boosts in other ways on certain tracks, like Phantom Road SLS, but never so deliberately. I think the staff ghost on Lateral Shift does it intentionally though.
