one of the best arcade game in history of gaming, it will be always 60fps, music will be always the same, all tracks and levels are great, even the simpliest ones and the game physics/rules makes it possible to squeeze the game so much to gain time, it's truly an amazing piece of gameplay, colors and technic.

F zero gx should be considered one of the best racing games ever, and by far the one that resists best over time. For graphics, music, gameplay, quantity of content, it continues to be absolutely satisfactory even today.

Just out of curiosity, CGN, what keeps you from using component cables to enable Progressive Scan mode for your gameplay?

Taltharius Probably cost; last I checked, they're like $250. You can get an aftermarket HDMI adapter (GC natively outputs digital video) for half that, but unless you have a really good monitor, you're introducing lag which is even worse.

Component cables aren't actually necessary anymore: digital video done right on the Gamecube can decrease output lag by about 1us (a microsecond) over analog out, as was measured by the GCVideo developer some years ago. At that point one just need to find a PC monitor that can handle 480p over HDMI or DVI and has low internal response time. A 144Hz+ monitor like the Asus VG248QE fits the bill, though a 165Hz or 240Hz (PG258Q) monitor's internal response & display rate can beat a CRT. Picture quality from the console is a bit better, too. The total cost is about $300 for monitor + GCVideo solution, but compare that to the component cables alone...
