Can you do this with watered down Mod Podge like you did the Christmas trees?
@crazyglasslady Жыл бұрын
So most of the glass I used the mod Podge on was crushed glass whick is lighter but Im sure if you really saturated the glass ( before the frame is on of course) and let it sit undisturbed for about 1/2 hour it would prob hold I would start small .

What I have been using lately is something called big top after show to seal the paint goes on with a brush 1 coat and dries in like 30 min. You can google DIY paint its a brand name and see if you can find a local distributor or you can go online and order it.

I’m doing a 4 Season tree. What is the best thing to use for snow? I have had problems with my snow disappearing after the epoxy.
@crazyglasslady Жыл бұрын
Well, whatever you use the trick is to put it on top of the resin and have the resin thin enough so that it doesn’t cover it I have used tube confetti, white tube confetti from the dollar tree that looks real pretty look on some of my Christmas videos from two years ago I’m trying to think which ones I did one on a cabinet door. It might’ve been a penguin I’m gonna have to look.

I am a little confused. You put painters tape on the back of the glass on the edges of the frame. Also on the front of the glass at the edges of the frame. When your project was done, there was no painters tape. Did I miss something? At what point did you remove the tape and how because resin was on top of it. I am going to replay this because I had to have missed something. Your work is awesome.
@crazyglasslady2 жыл бұрын
Only painters tape on the back. After the resin had set the next morning I removed it from the back before I did the video. I put the painters tape on the back just as an extra precaution against resin leaks

@crazyglasslady2 жыл бұрын
No they are actually a stencil I got on Amazon, so much easier then hand painting. You can get them on a sheet with multiple sizes to be reused over and over. There is a link to them on Amazon under my description I think you get like 5 pages of different stencils for $6.99

What is your preference for s glass tumbler? Not going to use for rocks. Going to order this am I am in my 70s so am experienced with safety, etc. Thanks for your help and videos.
@crazyglasslady2 жыл бұрын
Yes I guess they call them all rock tumblers. So this is the second one I had bought and it works wonderful. It's a national geographics tumbler I got on Amazon. This is the newer version of my national geographics tumbler :amzn.to/32LNmiw and this next one is less expensive but it's hard to tell the size because its not listed Im wondering if its too small ( the barrel) amzn.to/3HxvKGx just click the link to look at it. I'm not sure if the links will work on this but if not just google national geographics tumbler. I also have 2 huge tumblers but if you are just starting I'm assuming you want a smaller one . So the one in the link you could break up one large glass plate or a couple of glasses. The 1st one I talked about Im thinking the other one is smaller You would want to put it in the garage or back porch because of the noise
@crazyglasslady2 жыл бұрын
This is the one I have now amzn.to/3rfdQ5m holds 3 lbs
@crazyglasslady2 жыл бұрын
Also I was just thinking if you look back to my video that I did the yellow starfish I have my dan and darcy tumbler in that one . Just to give you an idea of the size that is my smallest which is a wonderful tumbler. but you can see in that video how much it holds and the national geographic one the more expensive one holds almost double.. So it just depends how much you need to tumble .

Not any of the ones in doors but one that is outdoors, My Mermaid is definitley yellowing. I did store all the Christmas ones that I kept indoors, like this snowman.

Also I have a video about one that I made as a welcome sign that sits in the direct sunlight at my entrance way ( I live in Florida) Some resins are more UV resistant then others. That is why I started using Art resin.

Dear sweet friends. I hope you will help me out. I am wanting to make 9 window (frame) Snowmen for gifts 9 to be exact. Hoping I have enough time. I would like to know if K S Tesin is a good least yellowing resin That is what I have I. Hand it's the plus uv protectant kind. Also my frames are 8 x 10 largest being 11x 14. Not sure how much resin it takes for each. I notice you use gems to outline so things. Those I do not have can I make them without it. Sorry so many questions. You are my glass guru and I pray you can shed some light on my projects. I hope to be able to send you pics of what I do unless they do not turn out. I am somewhat intimated about starting . I have never donevthis before. Forgive me for asking so many questions. If you don't want to share your ideas I understand but you have me fired up on these snowman and I will do my best to make you proud. Again thank you for all the inspiration. I adore your work an I hope my friends like these as much as I do. Much love and hugs Sheryl White from Greenwood Indiana. 💙🎨💙

I have been using KS resin but I just started using it so I do not know any long term effects. Just be sure to tell the recipients that it should not be exposed to direct sunlight and to store it inside in a controlled climate. Another words do not store in the hot attic for the summer. Im sure it will be fine. Of course you can make them without an outline. what kind of glass are you using? Crushed class or chunky glass like fire glass? You could so a small version of this one. Have you seen this one it is smaller like the size you are doing> I did not use resin on it but you can do it with resin. kzbin.info/www/bejne/j4jdgIirgdSGeMksi=5cMNeUMy5d3GsLGg
