The Mexican dog was fabulous ... Im old know bit live close to the tijuana border ... When we were young on the mexico border crossing... Barkers and vendors would sell those things for 5$ they were the ultimate tacky gardenware ... And lasted forever lol ... If you go to desert communities here in California those darn things are everywhere ... Its so funny to me that you call it tela vera (?)sp... If id only have known i could hv bn collecting this stuff every where ...

I thought that talavera had to have like the permission to be called talavera. That it was originally from Spain and only the Pueblo talavera from the authorized factories were true talavera. Can someone tell me more?
