As we were passing through today from Maine back to Florida we stopped at Antiques Marketplace of Lemoyne and I scored a cobalt blue fire and light covered container! The comps look to be between $150-$300! Never thought I would find a piece in the wild. The only way the day could have gotten better is if you were there shopping today and I could have gotten to meet you and thank you for teaching me so much about glass and antiques.

@@marym4510 I used to work for Goodwill as well, 35 years ago..... I worked in wares and priced the items. I was an antiques dealer as well. I knew the value of most of the items coming in. I agree, pricers get a bad rap, even the ones before eBay and the internet.

Some stuff is worth the higher price, but not 10 bucks for a decapitated figurine. 😂If the item has a giant crack or a ton of chips that needs to be taken into account.

This an aside: remember that gorgeous painted milk glass set vanity set with the image Jenny Lind on it? Jenny Lind is the singer in The Greatest Show on Earth wiho traveled with P.T.Barnum's circus, and was suggested to have had an affair with him. Fact checkers say she quit working with Barnum because of the way he marketed her. Great back story from the 19th.C.! She was the best singer in the world. In the right market that set would've sold much higher. I was sick and missed it. It was beautiful
