The bird on the music box is a Golden Pheasant. The odd candle holder isn't for candles, but for cone incense. The center holds the cone and the depression ring is for the ash.

That paperweight at the beginning is very beautiful! That unique bowl @ reminds me of the designs my grandmother, Maly Baer, made for fabric. She was a great fabric artist from Switzerland!!! What a bunch of FABULOUS treasures!!! Amazing.

When I heard you say Barrister Bookcase, my heart sunk. I bought my son an old Barrister’s Bookcase at an auction for $50, and gave it to him for his 16th Birthday. It was many years ago, and many good memories filling it with Earth Studies and Geological books.

The beautiful bowl u picked up (7.20) is made in Riihimäki Finland who produced art glass from 1976 and cut glass till 1977. The company was purchased in 1980 and unfortunately the plant closed down in 1990. Like Iiitala products these are very collectable.

This weekend is the monthly springfield antique show which is right down the street from heart of ohio. Of course not as big as extrav but still a nice collection of antiques and collectibles to see in all the buildings

+05:32 I've got that jar, love it. It was my grandmother's. She made the most wonderful homemade cookies and stored them in that jar. I never knew it glowed, so beautiful. Grandma was the best, no one like her. She's gone now but never forgotten.

The first vase you picked up, I found a glass paperweight thrifting for $3.99 by an artist in PA artist Edward Kachurik. His pieces are $95-$500. Another glass artist is Richard Satava. Also found a moon jellyfish paperweight of his. Paid $6.49, it's worth $300-$400. My latest find was a murano sommerso 1960s ashtray also selling for a few hundred dollars. I have gotten quite lucky thrifting so I thought I'd share the two artists.
