I have the sengled lights that come with a hub, i want to buy these smart plugs but control through one app only...do these plugs work through wink, or another way i can just do one app on my phone?

Hi Brett, I just got my crazylynx plugs and I have a few set up for lights that are working great in my living room. My problem is when I tried to install a fan the fan would not turn on. The plug comes on but the fan does not. I have tried unlinking and re-linking the plug with no success. I do not know what I did wrong. I tried two different plugs as well. This is a standard oscillating fan. Any suggestions?

+Donna Elsten How does the fan turn on? If the plugs turns on it sounds like mayabe the fan needs to be manually turned on because it has a digital power power button.

Tech With Brett Hi Brett! It is a fan that has like a circuit board on it with different speed settings and a delay timer. The fan also came with a little remote. If the crazylynx cannot be used is there any other smart plug that would work that you know of?

I don't believe so. You would need to use a fan that turns on with a manual dial so it is not reset every time it turns off.

One of the most important aspects of smart switches is the ability to see how much wattage was consumed. Too bad this wasn't mentioned ... don't know if it has that feature or not. Also - 120V and/or 220V? Very important to know for people who travel or have 220V devices (such as a crypto currency)

The first time I added the crazy links they worked great. I just purchased a new crazy link. Now I can not fine Smart life on the list on google home It shows up under Manage accounts Linked. But it does not show up under Add New. This crazy link works great with Alexa. Help

If you added it to the Smart Life App you now just need to ask Google Home to "Sync my lights" and then it will show up.

Can you control the plug when your phone isn't connected to wifi or when you are out and about (i.e. turn the light on and off without wifi)? My guess is no.

You actually can turn it on and off when you are away from your WiFi since it has it's own Wifi Connect. Your phone just needs to have a data connection.

The problem with the CrazyLynx is that when I tell Google Mini to turn off the light so does the monitor I have one on. They each turn on perfectly independent but shutoff seems to be tied to each other. Any ideas? Thanks again. Dennis

Solved it, I think. I believe you said on SmartLife linking to select Jinvoo which I thought was strange. But once I stuck with SmartLife on all it seems to work okay now.

Awesome! At the time I used the Jinvoo because those were the instructions but quickly learned the Smart Life App was the better option. Glad it is working!

I'm trying to setup these with BOTH Alexa and Home. While Google Home works great I can't seem to get Alexa to work. When I tell it to discover devices it comes back empty. For this I'm using just Jinvoo as you noted SmartLife is better for the Google Home. Any idea on why they appear invisible to Alexa?

Have you added the Jinvoo skill? If you can't find it you may need to try the Smart Life app.

What isn't discussed is the dependency of these devices on multiple external controllers. If you need a Jinvoo account, and an Amazon account to control a device through Alexa, there are two points of failure beyond the ISP.
