I adopted my son when he was 13 and he hadn't seen his parents because they were drug addicts since he was 4 so he asked me when he was 18 if I could help him find his parent and I said of course but unfortunately I found out they both died from overdoses. I was devastated and it was so hard to tell him the news but the 1 good thing was we found his sister who he hadn't seen since he was 4 and she was 2. So I bought tickets after talking to his sister and we flew to Texas from Philly and I didn't tell him until we got to the hotel room why we were there and he lost it and just broke into tears. Now she has moved up here and we all celebrate every holiday together with my sons kids and his sisters kids. So glad I was able to help him find her.

My brother and sister never got adopted. My sister was looking for me ever since I was adopted. She couldn’t find me because my adoptive parents changed my name. I only found out about my brother and sister 3 years ago. A few months ago someone helped me find them online. We have been talking non stop online using a translator. As an adopted child I know there are many things that have to line up in order to be able to adopt multiple siblings. There needs to be enough space at the home of the adopted parents, they need to meet the rules of the adopted country with federal and state regulations, and they need to meet certain requirements as a couple (some agencies require they need to be married, plan on having a certain number of children, must be Catholic, etc) so there ya go!

I'm so happy for these boys. Alex is such a kind and lovable boy. You can't help but just root for him. It's absolutely heartbreaking when children end up separated from their siblings. It's so good to see that Alex was adopted into such a wonderful family. This reunion brought tears to my eyes. What a beautiful sight it is to see Alex and his brother restored to each other. God is so good!

I'm very late but he was separated from his siblings when he was 4, he got adopted to a different family with 4 other kids when he was 6 who were very abusive(the adopted dad is in prison and has been sentenced to 18 years for what was done) At age 12 he got put back into a shelter after cps finally did something than he was found by this family who adopted him from 2015 till now. He recently got to reunite with his little sister bc she turned 18 and got to choose herself(her family didn't want her to have contact with his family)

This video just popped up again in my feed and I had to rewatch. It’s so heart warming to see the close bond and love for each other they have today, and also I feel so privileged to watch such an important, meaningful and emotional moment in their life’s, so much so that they both had the date their reunification happened tattooed on their arm. So much love to them both

kibummiex hansol X baekhyun incorrect. I’ve been a DCF case manager for a long time. It’s not the adoptive parents fault. It’s the broken foster care system. There’s limitations and wrongful placements that often split of siblings throughout the duration of being in care.
@KalCampbell295 жыл бұрын
Speaking as a former foster child this makes me happy to see the two brothers re-united. It is unfortunate that they were separated at such young ages. Hopefully they can build a relationship and a bond starting now. I’ve experienced a situations where a family did not want all the children however, the foster parents also did not want to split the siblings up, so two sisters were foster parents and they both took a set of the siblings to keep them together somewhat. It may not be ideal but at least theses siblings could see one another regularly as opposed to being completely separated.
@BMarie7745 жыл бұрын
MLO I understand in some extreme cases how it's necessary. That being said, if children have to be split up the state should absolutely make sure they have an active relationship. That means visitation. And visitation that exceeds spending an hour or so in a room every once in a while. They should make use that sibling bond is maintained. It,in my opinion, is there responsibility, if children have to be split up.
@BMarie7745 жыл бұрын
MLO And if the children are adopted out of state, I think the states should be required to both ensure the sibling relationship is maintained.

I know that on a personal note when I was 4 months old my oldest brother of 19 about to get custody of me because my parents were involved in a car accident which killed them and at the time he did not want me to go with my aunt and uncle because they were alcoholics my brother fought so hard to get custody of me and he had a stable home a job plus the inheritance of my parents left but the system just seemed like it was in my best interest for me to stay with an alcoholic aunt and uncle rather than a loving brother. However now that I look back on. I know that it was not my brother's fault that he almost lost custody of me but the system is corrupt but thankfully my brother won custody of me and he raised me and I love him dearly. This is a great testament to the love and support you give to each of those children; the love and support ALL children should have. I was beaten as a child and it brings a tear to my eyes to see these children in a caring and loving home and all the patience you two have. I would normally say your children are very lucky, but I think you are all lucky to have each other.

The CPS, Foster Care system is cruel altogether. There are so many good people but at the same time bad people that don't try to see past issues that could be dealt with before choosing to move a child or two. The system tends to make decisions that aren't ultimately needed, AND I can say first hand is I've been in the Foster system and so many times they try to adopt me and I was aging out and try to move me from placements that I had already adjusted to. Foster care makes kids long for relationships that they probably won't be able to keep as kids who grow super close to each other end up separated. But at the end of the day, I'm thankful that I know a God who was willing to help me through my problems, who filled me with his spirit (the holy ghost through the evidence of speaking in other tongues; Acts 2:38), and who has made a way when I thought there was no way.

Thank God that CPS extracted Alex, Hannah and Hannah’s bio sister and gave them to Aaron and Crystal. Those two people are the parents every child deserves. They made sure Alex got the counseling he needed and rebuilt him from the ground up. Sometimes things do work out for the best.
