I will never get over this video, the little brother's reaction the ball fall, the way he taps at his chest in unbelief of what he just saw and gratitude at the same time, and that tear drop at the end of the hug, kills me every time. It’s not easy being a Marine. Both of my parents were Marines served 12 and 16 years. I’m so thankful and grateful to have them both with me today. Both of them were deployed 5 times. I was raised by my mom when my dad was away, my dad when my mom was away, and my grandmother when they were both away. To anyone who reads this and has parents overseas I know it’s hard now, but you have to stay strong for yourself and for them. In the end whether it’s good or bad they served with honor and dignity.
