That's exactly what I thought. The bridesmaids should not shine as bright as than the bride. When I got married I did things a little different and I only had a maid of honor. She asked me if she should wear a simple red dress or a simple blue one and she sent me pictures of her wearing them. Cause in Germany we say you should not wear red in a wedding as it is an attention getter. I told her to wear the red one cause it looked better on her.

Hallie's cinderella dress was too much for a bridesmaid. I loved Hannah's blue dress! The flowy fabric was so pretty and more of a bridesmaid vibe. Ariana's was gorgeous but I think having multiple people wearing it would be a lot and take away from the bride.

Definitely a no for Hallie’s dress. For the occasion at least. Hannah’s dress would be a nice wedding party dress. & Ariana’s dress is pretty too, but since it is so flashy, you then have to think about having multiple people stacked beside each other with the same flashy dress. The brides dress would have to be over the top to not be swallowed.

Watching this video brought back such bad memories for me . Because my daughter lived in a different state yo me I was completely left out of all the wedding planning . I felt like an invited guest at my daughters wedding . Please keep the Brides mum in the loop regarding all decisions. It's every mums dream to be a part of her daughters wedding . Altering length won't affect the volume as much as you're thinking. It's very sweet of Savannah to consider Hannah's hair, but emphasize to her that it's her day and in the end they would wear a paper bag for her if she asked. It's Team Savannah.

I love watching all the girls and their excitement about the wedding! The blue dress was stunning but in my opinion kind of a prom dress. The champagne one was also stunning and I think more suitable for a wedding. Hannah’s was also beautiful and more of a wedding vibe. It is hard doing bridesmaid shopping if you don’t know what the bride is wearing. Off the shoulder, straps, ball gown, mermaid etc. plus color. An option could be putting Hannah in Light blue and the others in champagne color? Or reverse that? Just a suggestion! I think it is going to be beautiful no matter what y’all decide!!

As a recent bride, I would recommend picking a wedding dress first because you may fall in love with a dress that clashes with the already bought bridesmaid dresses. The brides the most important dress to buy anyways!☺️

When I got married I was the same as Savannah. I learned that buying your wedding dress first helps to decide the bridal parties dressed and suits. Some dresses give different vibes. Or knowing what wedding theme you want also helps. Also, some dress styles can be picked in different colors. Maybe the style fits the vibe but not the color. You can always ask about the colors they offer.

How smart to have more than one of the girls try on the dresses. My friend picked her bridesmaids dresses based on what would look good on me which was great except all the other girls had a similar very different body type than I do, I am built like Hallie and the others had much larger busts and wider frames and the dresses just fit awfully. I'm so happy she voiced her opinion on the color too even though it seemed like the blue was the more popular choice with the girls. I would advise looking at online bridesmaid dress stores. These dresses in the video were definitely more of a prom feel. This will allow you to pick out a color and have multiple dress options if she wanted to mix and match styles. This is also an affordable option and some of the places let you order and try before buying. Some good options are: Birdy Grey, Kennedy Blue, David's Bridal (can also go in person), etc. Just some advice from a seasoned bridesmaid that has helped plan 2 of my sister's weddings!

It really depends on the bride's tastes though. My cousin was MOH in a wedding and the bride wanted lots of sparkle in the dresses. My cousin's dress was all sequins and the bridesmaids had sequins on top and flowy skirts. Everything looked gorgeous and the bride was really happy with it.

Some tips that I have 1.) It’s fun to shop with everyone but it’s really up to Savannah on what the bridesmaids wear so maybe shop in a smaller group 2.) Savannah should do a little one on one time with her mom when shopping for the dresses not to kick Crystal to the curb but Savannah is her mom’s only daughter 3.) Try not to have the bridesmaids dresses out do the brides maybe consider less prom like dresses 4.) Even though Hannah’s hair is a different color the dresses shouldn’t have to match her hair maybe she can do a semi permanent dye when the time comes 5.) And lastly make sure you have lots of fun sorry if some of these sounded rude I’m just trying to give some good advice 😊

I think Hanna should change her hair color to fit in with the wedding. The wedding colors can't be adjusted to suit her hair. It is Savanah's wedding. Crystal - please stop and consider Savannah's mother's feelings! As a single mom, I would totally be overwhelmed by your status, celebrity and wealth! Wedding planning shouldn't be about your content, but rather a private matter for the bride and her family to do. It's up to them to invite you (the grooms mom) to share the experience - not the other way around! My heart is broken for Savannah's mom that this outing happened without her. If I remember right, this is her only daughter and only chance to do this - please give her that! Please take pause. This needs a redo! Savannah should go shopping with only her mother & Crystal (at most) to look at bridal gowns & bridesmaids dresses - different colors and styles. Then, after Savannah chooses, everyone can go to try on - but keep the dresses a secret for a wedding reveal! Crystal - I know your heart is in the right place, and as exciting as this is, this isn't your wedding to plan (your turn will come many times over with all of your girls) and it doesn't need to be part of your content right now! Let Alex and Savannah have that for his channel! Just a thought. All these dresses are great for Prom or a Quinceanera. Bridesmaids are usually simple without any sparkle or bling, and they follow the color scheme of your wedding. However, I can understand picking that if you are a teenager. :) It has a youthful look. The average age of most brides in US are 25-30. They usually have a more sophisticated style. At the end of the day, it is your wedding. You have to decide what is right.

*I think* you would need to have a full on big poofy ball gown dress with long train to have the bridesmaids in those blue dresses they tried on in the end because those are so full and more prom dress, than bridesmaid. You want to be the star of your day, so I think the simpler champagne color dresses with the trimmer silhouettes would work if you do go with those dresses or definitely keep looking because you've only been to one store. I will say everyone looked so stinkin' good in their dresses. Your wedding is going to be awesome!

It might be helpful to make other decisions about the wedding first (if they haven’t already). Time of year, time of day, style or theme of the wedding and possibly the venue can make a difference in the selection of attire. Maybe if Alex and Savanna decide on the those things first, the dresses will be easier to narrow down. Not to come off as disrespectful but i felt really frustrated watching this video. I saw another person comment this suggestion as well: have savannah create a dream bored or a wedding board on Pinterest. The video seemed a little chaotic in my opinion. Also savannah doesn't have sisters which i feel should be all the more reason to have her mom be present in her wedding planning. Something I used to choose for my bridesmaids was if they could be worn again elsewhere. They spend so much on the dresses, it's nice to be able to wear them more than once. Also, contrasting your dress in some way. I feel like the blue princess dress is so similar to your princess ballgown dream dress and kind of prom-y. Loooooooove the champagne one Ariana wore, too! The difficulty you will find is that the same dress will look very different on different body types and heights. So make sure they all try before you decide. Halie's dress is more forgiving of different body shapes than a slimmer one. Savannah you need to choose your dress first though to get ones to complement and not compete. A tip for you too, take photos and see if a dressmaker can do it cheaper for you as wedding and bridesmaids dresses are notoriously expensive. I did this and got exactly what I wanted, made to measure for less than half the price

I've always said that you need to get the brides dress first. Bridesmaids need to be a little more plain and simple. But that can still be romantic. Because you don't want to take away from the bride. Also, they have plenty of time. Don't just settle. And if savanna is getting a big poofy dress, I wouldn't let them get poofy. Because it'll take away from her. And it'll be to much poof. Just a few opinions! But it's not my wedding lol so whatever you like will be beautiful 🤍

I would suggest keeping a more toned down look for bridesmaids. It’s also good to have the brides dress first so she can coordinate around hers I also suggest going to an actual bridal store to choose bridesmaids dresses and not a prom dress store

I think the girls found their prom dresses today. I think it was a bit chaotic and noisy and the bride couldn’t relax and decide what she wanted. Have fun and enjoy the experience Savanna.

I've been to a couple of weddings where the bride picked the color and each bridesmaid picked their own style dress made from the same fabric. It was beautiful each time I've seen it done that way. It works well if you have girls with different sizes and figures.

I just got married on Friday and we ordered the bridesmaids dresses online from birdygrey. I told the girls a color and fabric and they choose the style they wanted! They were “more chill” like she mentioned.

My daughter also used birdy grey for the 8 bridesmaids. The bride usually chooses the color and style choices for the girls to choose from. It’s not a prom when the girls pick their own dresses. And unless a young flower girl, bridesmaids wouldn’t normally be wearing Cinderella or sparkle styles.

Get a bridal magazine and planning book. Book a venue and place to get married first. Then bridal gown and she should have colors etc all planned out. No one should outshine the bride remember. It’s their wedding day. Some of the girls should not have so many opinions, plus most have to have 6 months to has to order and fit. Good luck! Remember it’s their wedding the girls will have theirs. 💜

This vlog was so exciting!! How about a mix of the two colour dresses. I haven’t seen the vlog announcing how many bridesmaids yet (just catching up!) but that could work if there are lots! The dress in the window of the second shop was stunning! Halie should definitely get her princess dress for the prom. It was absolutely made for her!!
