I've seen very basic ones made from what I think we're 30mm aircraft rounds originally. The shell casing holds the wadding for the fuel, there's a wick through a bung in the neck of the casing where the wick protrudes and there's a flint mounted in the base of the projectile which is struck on something suitable (bayonet edge?) To get it to light up. Simple but effective.

Hay Kul, the second lighter could also be used if you need to start a fire and you just want to use the Flint you could use the Flint does Spock need that the tenders to get your fire going. It's much like the fair Fire Starting rods but striking it. If you know what I mean

That butane lighter at around 7:20 looks like it's meant to go into a housing-like a block of wood, etc. It seems a bit flimsy to be used as is.
