Even though SSB is far more efficient than AM, at the power levels on the Superbowl, I'm not surprised. The holiday thing is due to the large Jewish community over there, Hanukkah is this time of year.

super bowel is channel 6 ...no one their uses less than 1kw plus mega beams and many big stations use 25kw to 50 kw their heard world wide !!!
