Hey everyone, so this scanner is probably the best one I’ve used so far. It works really well and I hardly lost tracking at all which is usually one of the biggest problems I’ve seen. Now it is more expensive than others but I think it’s well worth it. Enjoy the rest of your week and I’ll see you all in the next one!

I heard IOS and Android support is on its way for this scanner. With an add-on to allow for wireless scanning. Something I am very much looking forward to. Hope it will come out soon!

you can scan the whole little owl in one go by pausing and rotate it over side ways and i used the face the scanner picks it up to do the bottom, pause rotate again and do it all in one go. The newer software also has features where you can select the scan you need the invert selection to delete the un-wanted points. I have done the flip thing by pausing on multiple projects and it's great.

Nice, thanks. I see you get about 14 fps, what kind of laptop are you using ? I get about 4 fps on my old I5 macbook and I’m looking for a replacement to use with my Otter.

Great review. One question please, the software you use to process the scan, was it suplied with the scanner. If not how fid you get it.

the software is free from creality, it is made for the scanner.

The consumer scanner mainly do a good job when doing scan of one orientation. But when trying to do a proper 360 scan with merging of 2-3 different orientations, it often become a disaster. Sw crashes, takes hours or does not merge. Sw is almost the same important then Hw and here the consumer manufacturer really need to improve.

Thanks for the video. I have an Einscan and a Revopoint Miraco Pro. I have a lot of trouble scanning shiny and black objects. I'm going to give the Otter a chance. I would mainly use it for industrial and functional parts, to print them in 3D. By the way, I have a turntable, but you cannot regulate the speed of rotation. Do you think I could use it? It spins a little fast. Thank you for your excellent master classes. Greetings from Barcelona.

The turntable does not come standard with the Otter
