If it can make you some money, or save you some money, then it's a tool, and not just a toy. This is a tool.

I have been wanting one of those laser cutters for so long. I want to cut gaskets and diaphragms for two stroke carbs like chain saws and trimmers among other things.

Do you think this laser is "cool" enough to cut sheet metal without warping it, as an alternative to chemical photo-etching for scale modeling? I've heard different kind of lasers have different temperatures.

Well it's whatever you need it to be, tomato, toemahto. Tools or toys vary user and use. Enjoy it whichever the use.

I get you on dimensional accuracy. I moan at other 3d guys when I tell them my printed molds are 0.4mm off and they scoff at me, they dont understand precision at all. if it was 0.004mm off I would have been happy, hell even if it was 0.1mm off. I could survive that my 0.4 is just too much error and then you have to worry about the X and Y axis being off by differing amounts

A 10w laser can cut wood too, multiple passes and 300mm/min
@b03tz3d15 күн бұрын
I have a 5W laser that cuts 3mm wood in 1 pass at 150mm/min. It just depends on how much time you want to spend :)

understand, in this case its a tool to prapare a better use for a bigger tool, that not implies that this tool by itself cantt be used as a final tool in the comercial chain as a way to create christmas presents just for say something, allways its a chain in this particular case, design softwares can be a previous tool for me to create presents, but for an arquitect it a final tool of his chain since he need a blueprint and thats it, the construction will made somebody else! nice video to see thank you!

If you could have used aluminum instead od steel the 22 watt would technically cut it but my buddy has the 40 watt laser, and that would make things a lot easier in comparison but yeah... it takes a while but the 22 watt cuts aluminum and a lot people say it cant and im not sure why... i watch it do it all the time... i never thought to use it for tenplates for a steel cnc company tho... pretty cool.

3:18 say what? 2w is enought burn cardbox. is it really 10w or bit tricky numbers. who cares paper and wood. lets cut acrylic lol
@austinporter42853 ай бұрын
Creality is one of the few companies at their price point that give their actual laser output specs. Even the xtool 40 watt laser is technically only 38 which isnt crazy but they could just say 38 🤷♂️
