Crealy Theme Park Vlog August 2022

Join me as I head to Crealy Theme Park located in Devon! In this vlog I share on ride POV's from all of the major rides at the park, including all 3 roller coasters. Along with that I check out the new Sooty Land themed area and take you on a full tour of this new family area of the park. This includes 4 new rides, live entertainment and an impressive Sooty museum!

Hi shawn,having worked at crealy in 2020 and 2021 you did an amazing job of promoting the park and sooty land wasn't there for me but it looks an amazing edition to the park and who doesn't love sooty,the memorabilia part was really great aswell,my first ride I was trained on was tidal wave and absolutely loved it and it was always a busy popular ride even when raining,the ride operator on the carousel is called rob and he's the nicest bloke you could ever meet(miss you rob) and he's always happy and very good at his job and he actually trained me up on maximus,one of the main things for crealy management is the staff giving the guests the best experience they can and its really important to crealy and also important is the uniform making sure its clean,tidy shirt tucked into trousers or shorts and most of all they have their name badge on as it's first impressions,watching this has made me miss the place and gotta thank the management for having you and looking after you and the gift of the sign was awesome,apart from the the ride operators and cleaning staff and food and beverage staff the team of ride engineers led by Mike are all awesome guys and they are there for and help the ride operators massively,fantastic vlog shawn and again still gutted I didn't come over for closing to meet you,cheers👌👌👍👍

Thanks for the nostalgia trip, Crealy used to be my local park as a kid. I still remember El Pastel Loco (now Maximus) being built, was my first credit. It's beautiful to see who much the park has grown since then.

Speaking on what you said about a new coaster in the empty area, I also think that would be an amazing invetment for the park! most of Crealy's offerings are geared towards younger children, so a new family roller coaster would be amazing! also crealy does already have a flagship coaster, which is maximus. (I also noticed they removed the honey swing ride, to make way for the sooty land rides. they haven't relocated it, so unless it returns next year, I think it's gone)

You're so right with the signature family coaster idea! I too always think everytime I go there (I live 10 minutes drive away), that the area behind the tidal wave could have a brilliant family suspended coaster something like Flight of the Pterosaur at Paultons, it would be a great addition to an already fantastic park! Having seen the park expand slowly but surely over the years since the days when I visited as a young child it's something that's really missing now and I really do hope they have the idea on the cards! Great vlog! I loved Sooty and Sweep as a kid. I would have spent ages in the museum reading all of the information and looking at all of the props. The show also looked amazing. The rest of the park looked great to. Some really good stuff for families. The countryside area looked so nice. I can totally see why you said that there is plenty of room for expansion.

I went there Yesterday (May 17 2024) for the first time in over 25 years (I was about 3 at the last time I visited) with my sister, parents and my little niece; I can honestly say I regret not going there before today because it is just wonderful there; a nice selection of rides, animals, stuff for little ones to do; seeing all the stuff from Sooty brought back some happy memories for both my parents and myself. Have to say that the staff were absolutely awesome there, truly awesome people who actually liked having a chat with those of us coming to the park; safe to say I’ll be going there more often

Fantastic vlog - love the hall of fame- so many memories! Sooty has been watched and loved in my family for 3 generations, since it all began! Now passing the love on to my children, was even lucky to meet Richard and Sooty at a live performance back in 2016 too!

Hi shawn Aww I love Sooty and Sweep even at my ripe age of 52 . Used to love watching it as a child. I didn't grow up with Sooty in the US, but he was a special guest on the premiere broadcast week of the original "Mickey Mouse Club" in the 1950's. Loved seeing that memorabilia!

Really interesting vlog, really enjoyed. Looked on Google maps after watching this video to see with sound defenders & barriers where nearest residential areas are. Turns out there is residential area nearby where Soak Zone was / is and North where Twister is? Think with noise issues, maybe an new themed area could be placed in future interacting with the lake? Along with like what Alton Towers Resort might be doing? An indoor attraction or indoor rollercoaster? That partly in the land comes outside? With noise defending from residents all themed up inside ride area? Looks like a good park with so much potential for future expansion. But for now, will have to wait and see what they add. My family and I have been waiting for this video to come out haha. We were here last month and our trip was a disaster. It ended up with my brother going to a&e (not the parks fault), my mums stomach being crushed by the tiny shark coaster and my face being pooped on by a seagull as I came out the dingy slides 😂 we had a good time apart from all that and I hope you did too.

After watching your vlog from 2020 we booked to go on Wednesday while we have a mid week family break In Devon. Also going my favourite theme park Watermouth Castle. It’s always hard to judge a park from a park map so glad u visit theses uk parks as I would never of thought of visiting and my son can go on everything but the spinning coaster.

I seem to remember watching Sooty on TV when I was young and they had some other puppets. One was a dog ( bulldog? ) called Butch? and a snake called Ramsbottom, great fun 😁

Sooty and Sweep is an old British TV puppet show from the 80s. Gangsta Granny is part of a childrens book series written by David Walliams, a comedian that is well know in the UK for being a judge on Britains Got Talent.

Sooty originally started in the 60s by a man called Harry Corbett, late 70s-early 80s his son took over until the late 90s where the current owner took over. It’s very funny to watch when the son took over then I grew up so it’s babyish. The others got gangsta granny just right

This park was on Channel 5 tv show called happy campers, this park looks fabulously exciting adventurous and fun 🤩 especially for the little beautiful cutie kiddies to enjoy. Great Vlog, if you are in Devon you should really visit Woodlands adventure park near Torquay/ Dartmouth. It’s a great family park. And if you want a water park there is Quay west in Torquay. The UK’s biggest out door water park!!

I rember going last year in October and going to sooty land where the balloon ride was and I rember getting to it and I was like “nooo where did Crealy put the flying machine” then I saw but I love Crealy it was the first theme park I went to when I was 4 and now in a few weeks I’m going Thorpe park for the first time and Alton towers next month for the first time I can’t wait to go on the smiler sally not nemesis tho but I will go to towers with my college next year in 2024 so I get to ride the new nemesis which Ik is your fav ride Shawn

Shawn, WE never heard of "Sooty " in the States. Is it anything like Mr. Rogers or Sesame Street? It's been around so long it's amazing It wasn't mentioned in anything I saw or read over the years.
