Catherine, I want you to know. I got up at 4:30 a.m today to bake these delicious Brownies. It’s turned out to be another hot day here in the Midwest! I did want to heat up house but I couldn’t wait. That’s I was baking at 5 a.m. They are absolutely delicious.

I made a rhubarb custard cake. I love rhubarb. Like you, I do not use my microwave for melting chocolate. Make your favorite brownies and frost with homemade cream cheese frosting. You will love it. That’s who do. However, I don’t care for the unbaked consistency of brownies, so I make a cake brownie and always put nuts in them. I’ve made a version of these, but I’m going to try this recipe. I make a similar recipe, but add almond extract and melted, good quality white chocolate. (EDIT: I add those to the cream cheese mixture. ) Love your channel.

Catherine if anyone has never tried thus recipe I urge everyone to do so. I use to make these by a box mix because I didn't know a homeade brownie mix when my children were growing up. But, this is the best brownie I have ever put in the mouth. These brownies are absolutely amazing! I am drooling watching you eat this. I am currently dieting now or else I would make them and eat the entire pan full. I love all of your ideas and recipes.

When I started making these back in the late 80s, they were called "Zebra Brownies" I would add walnuts sometimes, but wanted more of the cheesecake affect so I played around till I was using 2 cream cheeses so I made sure there was plenty of the cheesecake flavor on top of the brownies, awesome if you love cheesecake and brownies like I do!

We made these today and they were moist and delicious …… Catherine we have a request for you to do a recipe for Texas Brownies … I remember my mom making them in the 70’s and they were delicious but the recipe has been lost …. I know my mom used butter milk in them …..
