I started playing drums at about 5, taking lessons from the drummer in my father's orchestra back in 1956. At about age 9, I was playing in that orchestra. However, it was mostly what they called "standards", some jazz (Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, etc.) Then, the sixties! I first heard Eric Clapton in the Yardbirds (naturally.) But when Cream exploded onto the scene, it was literally life-changing! There had been nothing like it! They were bigger than life, winning all the Jazz polls, etc. They truly invented and embodied the name "Supergroup" and still did even up to this point, shortly before the great Jack Bruce died and then Ginger Baker. This was a great, great concert!

it's so nice to see an audience just sitting down and listening, it always pissed me off that you could be in the 20th row on the floor and not get to see anything because everyone would stand up and not sit for the entire show, and one time when I was 16, I saw Kiss and everyone first stood up, so you couldn't see anything, and then everyone stood on there seats so they could see, but then even the front was on there seats, and you could barely see anything again, so I ended up standing on my seat for an entire show with people taller than me in front of me like a brick wall, and what really gets me is how many concerts where the star on stage asks the audience to stand up, like they couldn't be enjoying the show if they are sitting down, but when i watch this amazing reunion from 2005 i think wow, what a lucky audience to see this rare show, and to actually be able to see it from any seat in the house, what a concept
