Since this video was filmed on the first day I didn't have an opportunity to answer some of your questions/concerns from the comments section in the last video. I'll try to do that right here :) -I know you guys don't like the door handles/emblems. I'll pick up some stock silver ones and swap them out. Easy enough :p -This car is intended as a SIMPLE DRIFT CAR. Hence the welded diff. I'm trying to keep it road legal (hence keeping the cats) so someone can drive it to and from the track without buying a truck/trailer. You can ABSOLUTELY daily a car with a welded diff (most people that complain have never driven one in their life). You just make some chirping noises in parking lots/gas stations - other than that you barely notice it. Tire wear is barely noticable (lets be honest you'll be drifting them off before you could tell) and so long as you have a good alignment and decent tires the car isn't sketchy at all in the rain. You see us driving our cars with welded diffs EVERYWHERE. lol -The purpose of this car isn't to compete with other builds or other raffles/giveaways that youtubers have done. I wanted to do a budget based, bare essentials, drift car to show people how easy it is to build a reliable car and get into drifting. I obviously have no use for another drift car so that's where the giveaway/sweepstakes thing came about. It's timed up with our slowest season with clothign orders to help keep our employees busy so they can get the hours they need. It's tough working for a business where there are massive fluctuations in demand. -Unfortunately all 3 prizes are US only (350z, cosmis wheels, & BC coilovers). It's not just the delivery that was the issue (I would have been down to ship the car anywhere in the world) it's the complications of customs and the extra steps of having to write the rules in each countrys language as well as register it in their country. This is intended to be a quick, fun, simple series and if it continued escalating in complexity and getting delayed I probably would have abandoned it. -Yes the car is salvage title - to make a point that these cars can be found RIDICULOUSLY cheap. However - it's very important that you know why the car was given a salvage title and make sure it's not structural. This particular car has a "theft recovery" title where essentially someone stole it, the insurance company paid the original owner off, and then the car was found with a locked up motor. Le chic put a 80,000 mile 2004 motor/trans in it and got it inspected. The car is really dialed and we're going to find any weak links and fix them up. -I'll continue to add little notes here as I see common questions present themselves to hopefully clear anything up

All of the people saying that Adam should do this every month or something along that line need to chill. Cars aren’t cheap and Adam is doing this because he has some free time on his hands and he’s showing his appreciation of the growth of the LZ community. He doesn’t OWE us this car whatsoever, or any other cars. All that he really owes us is his gratitude and thanks for the growth of the channel and amount of people watching. So how about we be thankful for this crazy build and try not to be as greedy?

You were tightening the rear top strut mount! That's why it wouldn't come off :)
@shannonzele56236 жыл бұрын
The separate rear spring and strut is better for the Z33 than a true coilover. To adjust the height properly you use the spring seat. The stroke, adjusted by the damper mount should be dictated by desired suspension travel. Preload is only achieved by extending the spring length beyond the damper extension.

When you do the back pads and rotors, go with the gold box on the brake pads. They're made by Bosch. They SHOULD be a bit better than the yellow box pads shown for drifting as far as OEM parts go. That's assuming the person that wins uses the handbrake a lot and doesn't add a piggy back second caliper. Loving the series so far.

You should be giving away a car each month to top subscribers etc. You make enough money to fund the car giveaways off of the content created through the builds of them. I also think subscribers would love to see a bunch of different cars. Maybe you could build a mx73 Cressida or something vintage jdm? Just something less common especially in the USA.
@spike48507 жыл бұрын
Joel Harris yep great idea, really practical and a great use of time.
@shona55127 жыл бұрын
Joel Harris He doesn't owe it to us to give away a car every month. If every wealthy person did things just because they could afford it as opposed to what actually makes financial sense, then they wouldn't remain very wealthy for very long.
@Joel_Harris7 жыл бұрын
Its not about his wealth it's about content. He only has space for a certain number of cars etc so it would make sense that he could give cars to good homes and literally change peoples lives. Maybe a car each month is a bit unrealistic but you get the idea :) (pls dont spend all your money on us adam lol)
@itsMuzah997 жыл бұрын
it wouldn't cost him anything as he could fund the cars by the revenue he would make from each video he makes on said car. say he makes 6-7 videos of adding/ fixing different parts on the car he bought for no more then a grand (limit depending on how frequently he does it) he would easily make enough to do it and have a decent check for himself at the end:) also he would gain some much from it, views subscribers and likes he'd grow so much👌🏼
