If being an artist was easy, everyone would do it. Most people will hit a wall and give up. The people in this world who succeed whether they are an artist or not are those that have a plan and then implement that plan. Of course the plan must have a strategy. I am somewhat skeptical of courses and seminars that promise to give the attendees all the answers they will need to accomplish their goal, whatever their goal may be. I do think perhaps there may be value in these seminars to get people motivated and maybe they will become more goal oriented as a result. To be a successful artist you will most likely need to spend 80% of your precious time focused on marketing what you want to sell, your art. The rest can be devoted to producing what you will sell. What it takes to create a profitable business with your art, is a lot of hard work. There are people who can sell just about anything. Hopefully the people who acquire my work connect with it on a emotional or spiritual level. That has been my experience thus far.
