I learned something new today and that is that the European robin and the American robin are not the same bird, lol. I ended up looking it up, because I was curious if the differences in coloring were just variations, and it turns out they are not even the same species. These are super cute, though, and I'm gonna try it and see if I can get it to look like the American robin. It's also shown me that don't need to be super technical when trying to paint in my nature journal in order to show enough detail to identify and distinguish between species. No more putting off making a watercolor nature journal "until I get better at it"!

Question: what do you use to erase the pencil line so as to not damage the watercolor?

It’s just regular rubber and regular hb pencil. The key is to not draw too heavily and then paint translucently over the top
