how do you connect the random effector to the stem? I create the effector and nothing changes.

Make sure you have the cloner selected when you make the random effector then it should connect properly.

Hey nice video! I'm having some troubles once I add the random effect, turn off position and turn on uniform scale (0.25): each stem is moving to a new position in the Y axis- meaning that they are no longer stuck to the floor. How can I prevent this from happening? Thanks!

This is happening everytime I apply a random effect to a clone and select uniform scale. I'm on S24. Thank you!

Hey, thanks for watching! The random effector will be using the axis of your stem geometry to perform the scale so I'm guessing the axis is not in-line with the bottom of the stem. If you disable the cloner and correct the axis to align with the bottom of the stem, then re-enable the cloner, the random effector should work correctly.
