Tapered strokes are in-built functionality of the latest AE versions.

Nice and easy! But for some reason this shape comp causes rendering issues for me, no matter if renderd via AE or AME. My comp is semi simple with 5 shape layers, and length is about 12secs, so it shouldn't break due to time expressions(?). Everything works in ram preview, but AME render breaks with "Unable to produce frame" and AE render with other errors. Something is getting too big, but what? This happens if I even render only the shape comp, so it must have something to do with them.

Solved. I assumed Repeater does some magic behind the scenes, but apparently it just gets too heavy when offsetting the shapes "bigger". Replaced time expressions with keyframes, loopOut, etc with shorter duration, and optimized the copy amounts, now it's faster and renders without issues. 👍

When I attach the CC lens I get the error "image buffers of size ... exceed interal limits" after 5 seconds of previewing. I've tried purging, rebooting the computer, and making sure no other apps are on. I'm using a Macbook pro 2.2Ghz Quad-Core Intel Core i7 with 16GB of ram and Intel Iris Pro 1536MB graphics. Any ideas why this is occuring? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance :)

He sets his expression to time*-.5 that didn't work for me. So I tried -time*2 and that worked. Then you can change the number 2 to a higher one if you want faster, og lower if slower. Hope that helps!

Taper is a new feature, but you could use a triangle instead, by using the polygon tool
