Rex: Pretty much. I heard he once talked down a gang of armed robbers by complimenting their fashion sense and asking them kindly to reconsider their life choices. They ended up apologizing and handing over their weapons.
Neon: That’s insane. What about the tech? Is he augmented or just naturally that… polite?
Rex: Word on the street is, he’s got some serious social engineering skills. He can hack into people’s emotional responses, making them more agreeable and cooperative. It’s like a politeness virus, infecting everyone he talks to.
Neon: So, he’s like a human antivirus for crime? (Shakes her head) Only in Neo-Tokyo.
Rex: Yeah, but get this-he’s making a real difference. Crime rates are dropping in areas he’s patrolled. People feel safer, and even the toughest gangs are thinking twice before causing trouble.
Neon: Maybe we should meet this Mr. Polite. Could use some of that charm in our line of work.
Rex: (Grinning) Or at least figure out how he’s doing it. Imagine the power of extreme politeness in a negotiation. We could hack into boardrooms and peace talks.
Neon: (Nodding) Let’s find him. In a city full of steel and circuits, a little bit of humanity might be the most powerful weapon of all.
