Amazing tutorial! Super easy to follow, was able to easily keep up and perfectly reproduce the result. Super helpful for a noobie who's not quite confident yet to fully freestyle yet so really helped in that journey.

I noticed that your using the Normal DX map for your shaders. I thought that it is proper to use NormalGL for Blender. Is there a reason you chose DX instead? Great tutorial!

Hey James. You've used quite a few of these add-ons for vegetation, trees, grass etc. It would be interesting to hear your thoughts on this. Are there any of these that are your primary go to addons or does it change depending on the job? Pros sand cons etc. My problem is that there are quite a few to choose from and they all cost money so I'm trying to be smart about this. So far I have actually only used Gscatter (free) with their free grass, etc and I've been able to make quite a bit of stuff with only that addon but there are no shrubs, stone, trees etc. The vegetation addon you show here looks good but so does many other of these similar addons. How do we choose!? :)

That is a fantastic video suggestion!! I’ll gather my thoughts on all the ones I use and can put a master pros and cons list together for you

@@James_Films that would be great. I don't think I've seen a video comparing these actually.

Great Tutorial! How did you do the "God Rays" though? Was that in Post?

I show it in the tutorial - it’s a principled volume on a cube with the gobo light projected through

@@James_Films I wasn't getting the same result, but it might be because I pulled my density back to far... Thanks!: My Results: Before Post: www.coolridepix.com/StatueRender1.jpg After Post: www.coolridepix.com/StatueRender1E.jpg
