Hi! No you don't have to pay for it. You can use the free version of Cricut Design Space (that's what I use!)

That means that your SVG is made of shapes, not strokes. Did you draw it yourself using the brush or pen tool in affinity designer?

Sure! You can use Affinity Designer 2 on the PC and just use the pen tool instead of the brush tool. It takes a bit of getting used to but eventually it will become second nature.

And furthermore, can you scan in a hand drawing straight into the computer and upload it to cricut design to draw?

Technically you can, but you will end up with double lines (Cricut Design Space will basically outline your strokes). So it is better to do it the way I do in this video. Still scan in your drawing, but bring it into a vector program and trace over it like in this video. Hope that helps!

Awesome. However, everytime I try to upload an image or file it only allows me to select basic cut. No draw option at all and its driving me crazy. Lol

I really appreciate it. I do a lot of my own work. Not just with cricut but everything. I just built a TARDIS from dr who for my dad that fully lights up with LEDs. So limitations isn't really my thing. Lol so any advice would help.

@@thomasboden6116 I just went through the steps and it worked for me. Make sure you are doing these steps: When you upload, select Image Type - Simple Use BG Remover to remove the background Set upload type to "Cut Image" (Not Print then Cut) Click Upload Add to Canvas Click on your sketch Under Operation (at the top) select Pen If it still isn't working, can you email me your file to [e-mail] and I'll take a look? There isn't really a good way to do it in procreate, you really need to do it in a vector program.

I did everything step by step how you did and wasn’t successful still have double line. Are you using a particular brush? Oil, pen, pencil…? I know you selected the brush tool but I’m not getting the same results. Also when I select stroke I do not get that wavy line as a selection I get a straight line dotted and brush.

Hi! I'm using the iPad with the apple pencil. If you don't have a drawing tablet, you can use the pen tool.
