Please note you need to have the original R36S, emuelec clones - lots of them out there - will not work, tried that myself; they will not boot up from the image in the links or arkos images in general. . However, there is a modified arkos just appearing on the internets and that shows some chance for the clone owners. Also, jaspur8 image - not publically available yet I think - shows some promise for the clone owners to be able to run m8 on the cloned R36S. Thanks for your video by the way. For anyone to be sure you have got the right device for this, get a Palm Games R40S Pro - basically a clone of (the original) R36S (also a clone) :)); installing the newest OS from the links in the video works straight away without any fuss. So it looks like a clone of a clone of a clone :)) is the right solution. Good luck!

How do you set up the console device as host? this step is missing from your video i think

In the firmware itself, everything is already configured for the console to work with Teensy. If I want to connect Teensy to my computer, I don't need a console. If I'm not answering your question, try to be more specific.

@@kornesov Thanks for getting back. I think i may have worked it out. I need to install M8C on top of ArkOS on my R33s (so a differen console). once ive done this i can get the teensy to use my R33s as a host, buit i just didnt know I had toi install M8C ontop of ArkOS itself, if that makes sense. IM new to this so am getting a bit lost at times.

The original memory card is partitioned into invisible partitions, if you decide to use it, you need to restore it to its original state. Try using USB Image Tool to reset SD.

When i turn on the R36s it says device not detected with the cube spinning when i hook up the teensy screen goes black .. i know the teensy is working cause i use the m8 program on my pc. What am i doing wrong

Excellent tutorial man! Thanks for it, my r36s is working amazing with m8c. I just have a cuestion, can I deactivate the L1/L2 and R1/R2 buttons? The thing is when I'm using it I noted that there's more chance of loosing display and sound from accidentally pressing this buttons. I looked in the .ini file and deleted what I though was the right thing but everytime deleting something made the console not to display the m8c.

If the screen turns black, it is enough to reboot the console once. M8 will remain where it stopped. As I said in the video, I'm not a programmer, I can't tell you how to disable those keys.

Theoretically, it's the same device just in a different form factor. The main thing is to back up the visible files just in case.

Did you make a copy of your card? Are you seeing a black screen or teensy not working? I killed 2 days to make mine. Your console should be 100% working with teensy.

@@kornesov my teensy works fine , ive had that working for a couple months . When i try the Arkm8c nothing happens . I am able to install Ark os on my rg353v but the ports section doesn’t show up so i can’t get the usual m8c install that other people use on github to work at , so when i saw your technique i was excited, but so far i can’t get it working. I don’t actually care about games , and i have another sd card with ark and a lot of games . The only thing i want the anbernic for is to use my m8 teensy with. thanks for your help. maybe my 128 gb sd card is too big .
