Cute design. However, having just recently sliced off the side of my left index finger (oh it’s all gone) trimming a text block exactly the way you are cutting your digital papers, I strongly encourage you to turn that ruler around to take advantage of the safety shield (I just ordered one). I love your videos- so clear and thorough.

I Love how the little shelf-sitter blocks have turned out- they are indeed adorable! Sadly though , you have moved very quickly through the importing of those files- If I already knew how to do things- I wouldn't need a tutorial- also- same thing happens at the end of the video, where you assume we already KNOW how to use the tools to bring the digital paper into a design or a font! This machine has a steep learning curve! Perhaps I need a PhD and be 20 yrs younger to learn it!

Oh - I'm sorry!! I need to remember that there are a lot of new users now and go over each step. Honestly, creating videos for the masses is like walking a tightrope. It's hard to balance between providing necessary information and boring more seasoned users.

@@silhouettesuccess I can definitely understand that it’s a challenge to not bore the socks off of those who already know the moves- but how likely are they to be watching this type of a video clip? They’ve moved on to your next levels! I really do appreciate your skill level in these areas with the silhouette! Keeping up is my problem apparently. Thanks for your help!

@laurabaxter6159 I really appreciate the feedback. I'm going to start putting together a beginner's series. Simple, quick, specific. That way, they can be referenced if someone is stuck on something in a different video.

My question is what paper do you use to print the digital prints on? I'm new to all of this🙂

I just used regular printer paper.

I also used the transfer tape as many times i can. It look horrible, but still wotking. 😂 Also I'm in the group of Mac user that cannot use the silhouette. I try everything and nothing. I hope they wirkwith that more faster

I've talked to a lot of users over this. It is frustrating! The only solution that I have heard of that works is to roll your Mac operating system back. I'm a windows user, so I'm not sure how to do that, but people are saying it works.

I only use my mackbook with my silhouette. I’ve never had any trouble.

When Apple did their Sonoma 14.1.1 update I cannot use my cameo 5 or my sons curio 2. It won’t even bring some or all of silhouettes own designs. Just a bunch of odd lines not the actual design. They go into DS perfectly.😢 machines we cannot use for cutting out designs. Maybe if you let silhouette know directly from you they will step up solve the problems. Honestly the software has ALWAYS BEEN SOMEWHAT BUGGY. This is the WORST EVER

This is so frustrating! Silhouette is aware, and they are working on a fix. They had said it would be out mid-November, then they changed it to ASAP. Nobody really knows when the update is coming, but I really do hope that it is soon. They recommend that you download version 4.4.554 to open designs in. Save in your library, then open up in the current version (have both versions downloaded on your Mac). The design will still look messed up, but they say it should cut properly. I do know of one person that this did not work for, so I would test it on cheap materials. Maybe copy paper.
