Love that idea of exploring your spontaneous ideas and see what happens. Agree that sometimes it works, other times we just aren't feeling it. Very fortunately it's just paper and we can always add something over the top till we feel happier. Really enjoy your inspirational clips.

Went to a book sale yesterday looking specifically for books that I could either draw in or pull paper out for painting/drawing. My best find was an old (yellowed) 'Family Tree' book with sturdy paper that will be perfect for painting.

I absolutely love these sessions. When I did one after watching my first video I spent a week doing it. Got some really great papers from it. It occurred to me while listening to you talk about how hard it was to loosen up that we all talk about how imperfection is a good thing in our art, after all what else is messy, and yet when our heads are being a bit imperfect we are very hard on ourselves. Does that make sense. Anyway what I'm trying to say is you do fantastic work and if you are having a hard time, be kind to yourself. ❣️❣️❣️

Love the idea of putting white down on black paper first in order to get colours to show up. I've got a roll of black craft paper that hasn't been used so much, now I know what to do.
