This tutorial was very helpful. I am still learning about Affinity Photo so I can create my own book covers. Thanks! (and I just subscribed🙂)

Which tablet do you recommend for a macbook pro and Affinity?

Dude this is one of the coolest skills I've seen yet..Great Teacher as well. You've definitely got a subscribe from me. Thank you so much for sharing!. BTW...did you take courses in Affinity Photo or just worked it out on your own? Brilliant !
@IAMRENSI3 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much! And welcome to the channel! A few years ago when I started out in Ps, I followed some cheap basic courses. Then when I switched to Affinity, I basically translated the Ps skills that I built! Most I've learned by just doing and trying stuff out :)

@@IAMRENSI Your welcome and thank you! So I guess you can become am great photo editor just by trial and error. I run my own business(Cabinet Maker) but I am looking at retirement in a few years and developed an interest in this for my retirement. I don't have a lot of time right now to do courses but I will continue to watch your channel to get a good start in this. I do really appreciate you taking time to make these videos and pass the knowledge on. Lots of respect and a whole lot of thanks . Take care and see you on the channel..Peace!

Hi Rensi! After watching this video I just wonder if you could help me with my problem. Photo was taken with Ring Light and you can see the light reflection (very bright) in the eyes (I wish I could send you photo I am talking about). Is it possible to get rid of this reflection? Your help is appreciated, thanks!

Hey Peter! I hope you solved this by now already, but I would just try to do it with the Inpainting Brush. That should do the job. If not, try cloning it out with the Clone Stamp Tool. Hope this helps! Cheers buddy 🤙

Rens quick and so effective, thank you. I like your newer presentation software, modern, clean, and sharp-looking. Smart using a product promotional also. If I could ask one tiny weeny little request, it would be any future videos on enhancing any part of a face, please ask Nicky for a photo, just kidding, no I am not.

Haha Ed, I would be happy to use her pretty face instead next time ! Unfortunately (for you and the rest of my audience) she wasn’t around... 😅 I’m surprised you noticed I’m using different software ! It’s indeed way more sophisticated than what I used to use. Better results in less time. - Thanks for your kind words, friend 👊🏼

Cool video again! Small question.. Is there a reason to use an HSL adjustment layer instead of a recolor adjustment layer, or is it just out of habit?
@howlinmad033 жыл бұрын
Mainly so you can change the color more precisely with saturation/luminosity. But recolor should work pretty well too. The problem with HSL is you can get those weird extra colors if you don't mask them out, so recolor may make sense in some situations. Blend ranges may actually be a better option for masking the shiny spots though I haven't tested it in this exact situation.
@xzenor3 жыл бұрын
@@howlinmad03 thank you.
@IAMRENSI3 жыл бұрын
Hey Michele! Yea the effect is slightly different, and in this case master channel of the HSL just worked fine. As I've said before, there are multiple ways of achieving similar results. Just figure out what works, and go for it! In the end it's the end result that matters ! 👊🏼
@IAMRENSI3 жыл бұрын
@howlinmad03 You're right! The master channel of HSL indeed addresses all colours. Probably Blend Ranges would have worked just fine in this situation. However, a mask did the job in this case :)
@xzenor3 жыл бұрын
@@IAMRENSI I know there's a million ways to achieve a result but some ways are easier or achieve better results so that's why I asked 😊 you might've had a very specific reason for using HSL.
