Create extra dimension to your resin wall art, by adding three dimensional leaves.

This three-dimensional resin wall art started out as an idea for a free-standing resin sculpture. However, as it progressed, the resin was too heavy for the wire and so I worked on an alternative solution.
The leaves were created by forming foil into a leaf shape and covering it with cling wrap. I used welding wire for the stems and then mounted it all on to MDF. It was then finished off with my usual acrylic diamonds.

If you choose to make another one of these, maybe use plexiglass with translucent colors. That way you can get the light shining through. You could even build a stand so you will have your freestanding sculpture.

I have used plexiglass on a project and it warped, plus the resin has started coming away from it. So it is not something I will do again. Thanks for the idea though 💕

If you could add another line of wire to the leaves, would that have helped with the strength of the stems to hold the leaves? Or do you think it would have been to much wire?
