Create F11 Rescue Partition with Acronis True Image
In this video we will be taking a look at how-to create a hidden recovery partition using Acronis True Image, we will set up a Acronis Secure Zone. The Acronis Secure Zone is a special, hidden partition on your hard disk that is inaccessible to normal applications.
We will then activate Acronis Startup Recovery Manager after creating the Acronis Secure Zone. we can add a password on this drive to keep it secure if you wish.
This is not my way of backing up a drive and storing it, but a way a lot of laptops are setup as a rescue recovery option.

It depends on how you use it. Working for a company, I was using it at home in a company style backup routine. Monday full backup, tues-thurs diff backups. Friday weekly backup. Repeat for 3 weeks where that Friday becomes a full month backup. All with daily reports. It was quite capable of doing this but it always had random issues with network permissions and not be able to cope if it failed to be able to start a backup or lost connection to the media mid backup.

Good vid as always considering all your guides are free. But I went off Acronis True Image back at version 10 that wouldn't work on Windows 7. It badly went down hill. The backup reports and choices were/are good, problem is its always so buggy. Issues with it not sending daily reports, issues with backups failing for no reason, the list goes on. Still looking for an alternative.

Hey there. I use Acronis 2014 live CD and my question is: Is it possible to manage (delete, create, resize) partitions right from that interface? Without installing a program like EaseUS, or do I need to do that manually with other partition managers?

Acronis Disk Director is the full-featured partition manager. True Image can only manage a Secure Zone.

No problems here. F11 at bios will launch bios menu (or whatever), F11 at the very begening of boot time on Windows partition will launch secure stuff.

Hi and Happy new year. I would like to ask you something I think many will have the same question. In a few months Windows XP will loose their updates help from Microsoft. So the quastion is how and with which software its better save our Windows XP full of updates? In my case the installation took place months ago so the PC its also full of programms and other stuff. Hi and thank you for the answer. The problem is that the updates take time (even months) to upload. I have installed Windows XP a year ago and a few weeks ago there were updates! We want Windows XP WITH ALL the updates and I heard that microshoft allready stopped upload updates, so if somebody installs Windows XP maybe he remains with no updates.
