The only thing we can suggest is checking the units of measurement (inches/mm) you have set up in Inkscape. You can check this by going to File>Document Properties>Display Units.

to be fair I found the actual digitising part was too quick, I know Megan says what she is doing but its good to actually see what you are clicking etc. I know we can slow down the video but.... might be OK if you do a follow up, full step by step type one that people could follow along with as well.
