Your explanation is fantastic - as a new digitizer that has watched hours and hours of videos - your clear cut explanation has really helped my understanding so much. Thank you!!!!

Learned so much from Ken on his personal channel, it's awesome to see him online and creating informative and educational content. Got so many of us younger people into the hobby and business and I will be forever thankful for that.

I am learning to digitize and I like your concept of it going up like a house. That makes a lot of sense. I do enjoy your videos. Thank you.

Thank you so much! 😊 I’m glad the “building it like a house” concept resonated with you-it’s such a helpful way to approach digitizing. 💜 Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with!

As someone who learned to digitize through youtube and various embroidery tests, it made me really happy to see how it works for you! Congrats on finally reaching your "click" point! Happy digitizing and remember to have fun with your designs!

This is how I felt when it finally clicked learning from you. Love John’s videos and he’s great! yet it was like having too much instruction/information, it just wouldn’t sink in. So I go back and forth and draw from both of y’all’s videos and I know I’m better for it 😊 the drawings were great! ❤

Don't worry about the music. I honestly don't hear it a lot because I'm listening to what you have to say. If it were heavy metal, rap or something really off, then that's a different story. Be yourself and keep moving. This is my first time watching you.

Quick question, what if the connection thread „ruins“ my design? And tips to overcome the clearly visible connection string?

This was an excellent video, very informative. I have for some reason not been able to grasp the concept of underlay. It could be just me but is it possible to do a short on just underlay I.e. different fabrics, stick length etc?

Do you have a beginner video on how to do that if its possible. So own hand drawn pictures transfer onto embroidery sewing machine? Please direct me to.right video. Please and thank you. Amazing stuff!! Mother of 3 so trying to leaen late when kids are asleep. Thank you for making videos for anyone to learn! Appropriate your time and effort!❤

I like to watch his Embroidery Tutorial Video and I don't even have Embroidery Machine or anything. However, his channel somehow is gone from KZbin. So I wonder if he move it to somewhere else, put it behind the paywall (like SkillShare), or make it private due to contract or whatever.

Course/KZbin Request: Whilst John Deer is a commendable exception, one often only gets a DST file for a purchased design. Please could you consider a course to illustrate the best way in which these DST files can be converted in Embroidery Studio to an "A" Grade EMB file. A few points: 1. The DST is effectively a "second grade" EMB. You often either don't have a clear "web-site" presentable image or it has a watermark, etc which males it unusable. 2. Even if you have an image, it may not be in the Threads to which you have access and therefore the use of any image means that you will not be accurately representing the image in the Threads that you will be using/stitching for a customer/website. 3. the only way to generate a clear image is to convert the stitch file to your threads and generate an image. Therein lies the problem as a DST File / Image is not "editable" under Wilcom Embroidery Studio 4.6 (latest version), and I do not know of any software that will do this - I am a novice!!. - so it the a. skill and b. the process required to take a "second grade" / DST file and follow this process to make it an "A" Grade EMB file from which you can choose your threads; generate an image; save an EMB and DST file. Can you help? Kind regards Gavin

Ken, been watching for a while now thanks for doing this video. Question, When you path, does it have to be by color and if so., if two same color objects are next to each other and you are pathing; do you need to add a run stitch even though they are so close and what happens if you don’t, is that when a trim happens? Sorry for the long question

@@EmbroideryLegacy I hope you don't think I'm being nasty - I've watched quite a bit of your content since before you joined JD, and always liked your open and unforced style. I particularly enjoyed and found helpful your video demonstrating your 'stone statue' embroidery for example - with the yellow highlight-lines.. This video as mentioned, is making you (in my humble opinion only of course) look less original and refreshingly-unpretentious as you used to be in the pre-JD days. I'm also a very big fan of JD and of course know he's a consummate professional in every way that matters. However, I prefer your relaxed and open style that I suspect is a casualty of your hopefully successful collaboration with JD. The slick and much more deliberately-delivered style you seem to have adopted (I won't even mention the truly tragic music...) just doesn't fit you. Personally I think that were better as you were, although of course I wish you (and JD, one of my embroidery-gurus) all the very best in this new position. Please don't take this as a negative comment, it honestly isn't meant that way. Regards and respect to you and JD, John (U.K.).

@johnb6749 I think since he got busted by wilcom using a pirated version of they software it's made him change. I like the old person he was and never knew he was using a pirated version till I saw it on wilcom post and was like wtf. Then JD hires him and then not long after wilcom and JD split ways and now JD is trying to comeout with his own software version. Which I want to see cuz its hard to compete against wilcom. Onething that got me was I think JD was also using wilcom es and one of the elements to create Esa files which you can't do on hatch.
