I don't think with just those stretched spheres with an emission shader you will see a big improvement in Cycles or bounced lighting in general. You mainly see those spheres because of the light they emit themselves and not because of other light sources that are potentially indirect.

Having the best time learning with your videos. Only problem I ran into with this one was at the end of the loop the cube you use to mask some of the distant particles creates too large a difference in value from the 1st frame, so it will not loop. After trying to adjust some of the values I decided to try a different approach and animated some camera settings to give a similar effect.

i had the same problem. Try changing the "default interpolation" from bezier to linear. You can find it in: edit (top left corner, next to render and file), preferences, animation and it should be under F-curves. Its usually set to bezier as default to "smoothen" the animation.

great concept thanks for putting it out there! Im just trying it out and i keep having one issue when adding the particle system i always get one of the particles sitting dead centre inside the tube nothing seems to change it - im still fiddling! Edited update - the extra particle is being added to the object centre point so had to move that outside the object to avoid - hope that helps anyone with same issue and if it evokes any alternative ideas on how avoid having the annoying particle added to center point

Every time I try to do one of these tutorials where we use the particle system I always end up with one particle right smack in the middle of the cylinder and I can't figure out why it's there. All the other particles snap to the surface of the cylinder except 1 single particle. Anyone else run into this issue? Edit: I figured it out. I lowered the number of seeds from 1000 to 999 and it removed the particle in the middle of the scene. No idea why

Why does my animation slows down at the end ? And also, I have a weird sphere spawning at some point.
@DJShadesUK4 жыл бұрын
It may just be my imagination but this doesn't loop seamlessly; you forgot to do your (animation length + 1 frame) thing for the camera end position. Also, there appears to be a dip in brightness when the animation loops back to the beginning because, since you are using volumetrics, there are no particles behind the camera lighting the scene but there IS at the animation end point. That too is an easy fix; just add another collection behind the camera at its start position.
@nickinthecave Жыл бұрын

There's a world shader in the default new file that needs to be changed to black. He may have changed it before the tut. He shows that in other videos. Go to tab (on the right side, looks like earth with poles) and then under it says color, change it to black

Very nice! I frequently use your tips and tricks and because of your tutorials, I become a very good blender user as well. But just one thing regarding the title. The speed of light is not so fast. For example, the light needs 8 minutes from the Sun to reach the Earth. So actually you are talking about the warp speed. Good job, keep doing it, and thanks.
