Hi Scott, first time in making a time-lapse. I have watched your video a couple of times and I cant catch how you processed the raw images to JPEG, did you use another program to do that, and skipped over that process. I found your video very helpful and you made it look simple. I have a lot of DNG images of the Aurora I want to turn into a time lapse, so I am checking out videos on the subject. Cheers Robert Aust'

I processed them in Lightroom Classic (LrC), and exported them as jpeg. Its the same process I used in the timelapses in lightroom video, which I suggest you watch the beginning of to see that part in detail.

Maybe photoshop has changed since 2018 so this no longer works? The video will not play, as you try to click play I just get the "no access" sign. Also there is not a "render video" option when clicking on export. Any ideas?

Sorry to hear you're having trouble FilSeaton Photoshop has not changed much since this video was made. All the items I talked about are still exactly where they aught to be. There could be multiple issues as to why this isn't working properly for you. I just tried this and everything still works properly for me. Unfortunately you should probably take out a support ticket with Adobe and give them more information and they will be able to help better than I can. Remember that this tutorial works best when using JPEGs as the images. That might be the reason why this isn't working for you.

Hey so how many did you take these pics and put them in time lapse or are those images
@DenimSuitPhoto3 жыл бұрын
Great question! There are 300 individual photos all taken 5 seconds apart, to make up the timelapse video (once combined in Photoshop). One second of video is around 30 individual frames (depending on the framerate you choose) So with 300 photos, at 30 frames per second equals only 10 seconds of video.

Great video, thanks. One question, when you have made the time lapse as per your video can you then use premier to edit together a series of different films adding music and titles etc.
@DenimSuitPhoto6 жыл бұрын
Yes absolutely. You can also use Photoshop to edit together the video as well. I think that should be my next video

Good information presented clearly here. Yet, the title is a bit misleading as the first eight minutes are related primarily to Lightroom. This makes a targeted search more difficult.

Photoshop part starts at 7:56. Thanks, very helpful, consider making your video shorter as I landed here from your lr vid which makes the first part less relevant ;)
